I sat at home in my bed, bored. All of the juniors were taking the PSAT. Like Lydia, I had taken it freshman year, but since Samtrent was on a different schedule than Beacon Hills High, I had taken it a few weeks before I moved back here.

I was bored in bed, laying there and texting Liam.

Liam: hey

Me: hi

Liam: wassup

Me: you're literally so awkward i can't

Liam: you know you love me doe

Me: ur such a loser dunbar

Liam: yeah and ur so much better?

Me: im on the cheer team

Liam: im on lacrosse

Me: well im captain so

Liam: ......

Liam: im hot

Liam: literally every girl in the school wants me

Me: u wish

Liam: that inclues you

Me: why tf do u think that

Liam: bc you kissed me back

Me: in the well? I only did that bc i thought you were going to die

Me: maybe bc the deadly wolfsbane poison u had

Liam: so whens our first date

Me: our first WHAT

Liam: a date. u ever heard of one?

Me: i never agreed to go on one with u

Liam: so when am i picking u up next fri

Me: ur kidding right

Liam: when though

Liam: btw r u more of a bowling kind of girl or movies

Me: ur so weird

Liam: but u love me

Me: ur so irritating sometimes

Liam:?

Me: u asked what time i wanted to be picked up

Me: so i said 7

Liam: ur literally the greatest

Me: hold on Lydias calling

"Lydia, what is it? I'm kinda in the middle of planning a date with Liam." I tell her.

"Kiam is my OTP but there's some serious shit going on at the PSAT's." Lydia snaps.

"Okay, what is it? A new assassin?" I ask anxiously.

"I'm not sure. But a death is coming." Lydia says.

I ask, "Is that like a guess or something?"

"Not a guess." Lydia whispers, "I know."

"Oh, shit. I'll be right over."

"3...2...1..." the man whispers, gun pressed against my brother's forehead.

BANG

"Stiles, are you okay? Oh, my god." I whisper, running over and wrapping my brother in my arms.

"Are you okay, Kelsey? You just killed someone!" Stiles whispers, hands shaking.

"To keep him from killing you." I say, "But Lydia sent me to give you a message. The cure, it's reishi mushrooms, they're in a jar on a shelf in the vault. I'm not sure what that means, but everyone is going to die if you don't."

"Thank god you did." I whisper, squeezing Stiles' hand as the door slides open and Scott steps out.

"Thank god you did." I repeat, tears in my eyes.
