Chapter 2

Divine's Point of View

What should I do!? My body is trembling while I cover my face with my bare hands. Then I heard my door open by someone.

"Joaquin!" I cried. I am surprise that he's holding a gun. He is not Juaquin I used to know. His eyes, it's blank yet dangerous.

The naked man ran to my balcony but Joaquin shot him at his right leg before he spread his wings. The loud bang made me scream. I follow him at the balcony but he's already gone. I stepped a soft object under my right foot. I put it from the floor. It's a jet black colored feather.

"Are you okay? May ginawa ba siya sayo?" Joaquin ask full of worries plastered on his face as I face him.

"He just laid in my bed and touched my cheek. Nothing else." I answered him while I breathe deeply and confusion fills my mind.

"Wait.... Why are you holding a gun a-and how did that man do that? The wings and flying thingy?" I blurted out of realisation. Something's going on here. I am sure about that. Uncle Xavier and Joaquin have suspicious actions all the time but I didn't meddle it.

"Because there is an intruder. Don't ask questions please, you'll know it at the right time." he said while he put the gun in his pocket.

"You're leaving?" I asked him that made him stop from leaving my room. I don't know what would I do if that naked man come back and do whatever he wants to me. It makes me cringe when I imagine those scenarios.

"Okay. Di na ko aalis dito buong gabi, babantayan kita. Let's sleep na," he declared as he went to my bed. He's always like this, He was there when I need help, when I'm sad and afraid.

"By the way, sasamahan kitang magshopping bukas," he reminded me. The day after tomorrow will be the first day of classes. I hope this school year will be great. I close my eyes to sleep because tomorrow will be a long day.

Joaquin's Point of View

Tumayo na ko mula sa pagkakahiga nang maramdaman ko na tulog na si Grace. I made sure that the windows and the balcony are locked before I went out of her room. I dialed my father to tell him about awhile ago. They are my only family,  my father and my cousin, Divine Grace. I must protect her because it is dangerous outside of these wall. They are not ordinary. And she encountered one of them.

"What is it, Quin?" he greeted
"Grace encountered one of the demons, it is an incubus I think,"
"What happened?" tanong niya na may puno ng pag-aalala. I can't blame him for that, she's our princess.

"The medallion glow brightly while I'm resting. Pagkatapos nun, sumigaw si Grace kaya pinuntahan ko siya sa kwarto niya bitbit ang holy gun. Malakas ang demonyong yun Pa, natakasan ako agad," I can hear disappointment in my own voice. I am the Chosen One for Pete's sake! Galos lang naibigay ko sa demonyong yun.

"How can you say that it is an incubus?"

"He's naked, Grace seems traumatized about that," I answered his question.

"How come that she is not affected on its ora? Oh! Maybe it runs on our blood," father said with a kidding tone.

"Should we tell her the truth?" I'm worried about what will be her reaction about this.

"Wether we like it or not, we are obliged. Maybe you can teach her about self-defense—and offense will be better. Also give her lessons about them and strategies and techniques," he suggested.

"What? No, I will do it for her, I will protect her"

"Hindi laging nasa tabi ka niya, Quin. Hindi mo laging magagawa yan dahil may iba ka pang tungkulin. That's an order from a member of the council," he said with an authorative tone.

"Fine," as if naman kung may magagawa ako. I hope this is the right decision.

I ended the call and I go back to her bedroom. Napagdesisyonan kong tabihan to kasi baka mamaya bangungutin naman ito.

Third Person's Point of View

The naked man land in the front of his palace struggling. Kitang-kita sa mukha nito ang galit, dismaya at sakit na nararamdaman dahil sa tama ng bala sa kanyang hita. Nadagdagan pa ang sakit dahil hindi ordinaryong bala ang tumama sa kanya.

Sinalubong siya ng isa sa mga alagad nito at inabutan ng roba. Hindi naman sa na-iintimidate sila dahil nakahubad ito kundi dahil sa trip nya lang na abutan siya ng roba pagkarating.

"Tinotohanan niya nga yung sinabi niya! Fuck!" sambit niya at sa galit nito ay pinagbabato nito ang kung anumang mahawakan nito.

"About the curse?" tanong sa kanya ng isang alagad

"Yes! She doesn't remember me and my appeal is not affecting her. Aaargghh!" he shouted out of frustration. Hindi nila ito pinipigilan dahil hindi maganda ang mangyayari kapag may gumawa nun.

"Its time to put more effort to convince her, my lord," ngisi ng isa pa niyang alagad.

"So, anong matutulong natin?" tanong ng isa.

"Edi moral support! Walang epekto sa kanya ang mga ora natin," sagot nung isa pa at sabay-sabay na tumawa ang mga alagad nito na lalong nagpainis sa kanya.

"Get out of my sight! Dickheads!" sigaw niya dahil sa inis.

"Di lahat dickhead ang nandito 'no! DUH!" pabalang na sagot ng isa niyang alagad na babae at umalis na ang mga ito.
