Birth of the Tridev

The big bang occured, the world was hot now, like a iron, ideal to mould. New galaxies were formed, new planets occured, everything spinned, the energy of om being converted to matter and this matter into life. The world had started to cool down now, and what was once lava now became placid waters. These waters contained life for that was the wish of parabrahma, from these waters rose Naarayana, the dusky hued one. He is said to lie on the eternal snake shesha. But still more life was to develop, from the navel of narayana came a lotus, it rose high in the air before it opened to reveal Brahmaa. For eons both were unaware of the others prescence. They felt they were alone in this world. Once they realized the others presence a furious debate arose at who was the creator, they wished to be called the creator of the world and thus came about the birth of aham 'arrogance'. Each gave a more convincing argument than the other and like this decades passed without any result.

Suddenly a brilliant pillar 'ling' of light 'jyoti' emerged from which a voice arose,
" Since neither Narayanaa nor Brahmaa are able to decide the truth let me be the judge. The one who can find the end of this jyotirling will be declared right and the winner." They both debated and agreed upon it accordingly Naarayana travelled down and Brahmaa travelled up, but the ling was eternal, no end or beginning in sight. Atlast Naarayana realising it was a power beyond him graciously accepted his failure but Brahmaa was still adamant upon gaining prestige. He continued on his quest, till he saw a flower 'ketaki' flower floating, tired brahma requested it to say that he reached the end of jyotirling and be his witness, in exchange for prestige. The flower agreed and did so in presence of Narayanaa, but no sooner was the lie spoken that a voice from the ling halted it.

"Lies" and the ling resolved to show Mahaadeva or Shiva. "You lie Brahmaa, you dare lie in the infancy of this universe, for this you will be punished, you wished to be called the father of this universe, you will be, but despite being the creator you won't be worshipped anywhere other than at 1 place. Ketaki I curse you to never be used in my worship. You Naarayanaa, your humility has made a place in my heart. From now on you will reside there, the world will worship all your forms and your every form will be my aradhya. You will also be called Satyanarayan as you supported the truth." saying this Shiva hugged Narayan. On both Brahma and Narayan's pleas he forgave Brahma and told the truth of the creation of the world.

This is what he told, "we have been created by shakti, the shakti of om, by the wish of parabrahmaswaroopni jagat janani, the mother of all. She is the shakti residing in brahmanaad, in om. She is both the most terrible and the most beautiful, she is both male and female, we are her but at the same time she is greater than any of us. She is prakriti and lies in every atom of this world in every kann, she is the energy. She is "nirgun" without attributes and "nirakar"without shape and form. We are thus equal to each other yet at the same time have different aspects, brahma is the creator, he already created two vices ahankar and asatya. Narayanaa, you in your humility try to preserve the world, do good to everyone while I in my anger am also Rudraa the destroyer" .

But then why only the negative conequences of our actions have occured was Naarayana's doubt. To which shiva replied, just like shakti is neither male nor female, we manifesting our male attributes only are incomplete, too make us complete we need to request the creator. Thus was about to occur the birth of tridevis.
