Luke took the first hit, and Brielle couldn't help but flinch at the sight.
She didn't know why she didn't expect it to be this intense. It was a boxing match, after all. It was only about 30 seconds in, and Brie already noticed blood on Luke's face.
She tried ignoring what Michael had previously brought up. She wanted to just keep all her attention on the ring, for Luke. But it was difficult. Brielle thought she had made it clear she didn't want what happened to be discussed. Not only that, but Luke had pretty much said that he wasn't going to tell anyone.
"I honestly should probably tell somebody but I can tell that's not what you want."
It's not like Michael was going to do any harm with this information, but he did bring it up and that's what Brie was avoiding.
Luke's opponent swung for a second time, but this time Luke managed to dodge the swing and counter it with a jab straight to the cheek. The punch knocked his opponent back, and Luke took the chance to get in a few more.
This earned a small "woo" from Ashton, although Michael stayed silent as he had been since the match started. Brielle couldn't tell if that's just who he was - he didn't really say anything in the back room. Or if Brie was the one who silenced him.
The opponent raised his gloves up in an attempt to block the swings coming his way, but it didn't do him any good as Luke maneuvered around them. Each punch seemed more painful than the next, and you could tell that they were by the look in his opponent's face. Even though he seemed to be in pain, he didn't do anything to stop Luke, and once Luke realized this he intensified his combat.
It was almost as if he had gone into frenzy mode.
Luke's fists traveled towards his opponent's face at a much more rapid speed, and it looked as if he was going to pass out any second. The opponent tried jabbing Luke's gut in an effort to stop the punches, though it didn't even look like it affected him.
Just as it seemed like things were on Luke's side, suddenly everything went wrong. His opponent finally made a move, and it completely changed the direction of the match.
Despite the blows to his face, he managed to bring his own leg up and deliver a kick to Luke's lower leg, tripping him.
The crowd's cheers instantly dropped, and were replaced with boos. The rules had specifically stated that you couldn't hit below the belt, hold, trip, kick, headbutt, wrestle, bite, spit on, or push your opponent.
"What the fuck! He can't fucking do that!" Ashton pointed towards the ring as he shouted at the referee who was making his way towards it.
Although, it all happened too fast for anyone to stop it.
Luke's body fell to the floor of the ring, and before he could even react his opponent was already on top of him. He had blood flooding out of his nose, and his breaths were heavy and uneven. Luke struggled to get the guy off of him, although he wouldn't budge. The ref entered the ring shouting at Luke's opponent for him to stop, as he had been disqualified.
His opponent noticed the ref coming his way and sped up his actions.
He brought his arm back, before swinging it forward and slamming his fist into Luke's jaw with a striking force. And all of the fidgeting Luke had been doing suddenly came to a stop.
The referee immediately started running to grab the guy off of Luke once he realized what was going on.
"Are you fuckin' kidding me? What the fuck is his problem?!" Michael exclaimed, as he sprinted towards the ring along with Ashton.
