Why do you want this job?

"Money. I need money."

What are your strengths?

"Does being able to watch a whole season of a series without interruption count as a strength?"

If selected for this position, can you describe your strategy for the first 90 days?

"Hiding in the book section until my shift is over."

Brielle groaned as she shoved the application she had just picked up from Target back into her purse. Obviously, the answers she had written down would not get her anywhere.

She couldn't figure out why, but she was god-awful at talking about herself. This was probably why she wasn't having too much success, as that was what most job applications required you to do.

Every single year on the first day of school all of her teachers would make everyone get up and introduce themselves, and Brielle's intro never compared to the other students. They'd talk about what all of their interests were, or their enormous list of skills, and Brie had nothing.

Most of the time her introductions went along the lines of:

"Hi, I'm Brielle and I enjoy taking naps."

She finished the frappuccino she bought from the Starbucks inside the store, before throwing it away and exiting the Target.

Brielle sat in her car for a while, as she searched for the address for her next destination. Though she found it difficult to concentrate while her phone was constantly vibrating from incoming text messages.

Apparently, Tyler had told his friends about his little "date" with Brielle, although of course he completely left out what happened in the alley. And since Tyler and Brielle both went to school together, they had mutual friends. So, somewhere along the line, the news eventually reached Sam.

Two days ago, Brielle would roll her eyes at Sam's negative comments about Tyler. But, things had changed dramatically. At this point, Sam's harsh words didn't even compare to the animosity that Brielle felt towards him.

Brie was well aware that she was eventually going to have to discuss this whole thing with her, but she definitely was going to wait as long as she possibly could to do so. Even though Sam was informed of her date with Tyler, Brielle still planned on keeping the whole "incident" to herself.

Knowing Sam, Brielle knew she would blow it out of proportion and she just wanted to forget.

She finally found the address she was searching for, which belonged to a local smoothie shop that was hiring. Out of all the places she had applied to, this was the one she was most excited about.

A smoothie shop seemed like a pretty trendy job to work at, and Brielle enjoyed smoothies quite a bit. So, she was pretty enthusiastic about checking this place out.

As she pulled up to the shop, the first thing she noticed was a flashing sign that read "Planet Smoothie" painted in tropical colors. There were a number of teens sitting at the tables outside, most of them looking down at their phones, and some actually paying attention to the people in front of them.

Brielle made her way through the outdoor seating, and was greeted by a ring as she pushed opened the front door.

The first thing her eyes came in contact with was a tan skinned boy who had the sharpest jaw line she had every seen in her life. He had large brown eyes that went nicely along with his brown curly hair, and was wearing what seemed to be his work apron. He was talking to a co-worker as Brielle walked up to the counter, though he immediately stopped and put all of his attention on her once he noticed Brie standing there.
