Ellie was in the field playing with the dogs when she hears a terrifying scream from the house. dogs following her she ran to the house and burst through the door. when she ran in she saw her daughter holding her cat and crying. Aaron had torn her sketch halfway through by the time Ellie arrived. she grabbed jade (kid) and dragged her out the door angrily and walked back in the house. she grabbed it from Aaron and looked at it. it was one of the best sketches jade has drawn.

Ellie angrily looked at Aaron.
"are you crazy!" she yelled "Jade has never done this good before! and you just ripped it in half like it was nothing!"
Aaron slapped Ellie "shut up and go back to work bitch"
Ellie walked out and over to Jade who was playing with the dogs.
"its okay sweetie we will get you some more pencils and some paper later, okay?"
Jade nodded and went back to playing. Aaron had broken all of Jade's pencils and hid her paper. later that day Ellie had to go to the store for more beer. she took Jade with her and didn't tell Aaron she was buying her some pencils and paper for Jade. she bought the beer so she wouldn't be beaten and let Jade pick out some pencils. Aaron had gone as far as basically raping her to get his way. Jade hid her pencils and paper and they walked home slowly. hen they arrived Ellie heard a cat's frightened meow from inside the house. Ellie told Jade to wait outside and Ellie walked in the house. she saw Aaron running everywhere with his gun looking for the cat.
"AARON!" she yelled, "What are you doing to the poor cat!"
she picked up the cat who ran to her and put it outside.
"none of your business," he said trying to push past her to get the cat but she didn't budge. "move" he yelled
"no! you are terrorizing that poor cat."
he smacked her "watcha gonna do about it huh?"
With tears in her eyes, Ellie grabbed the gun from Aarons' hand and shot the ground as a warning shot to tell him back the fuck up. she aimed it at him as he angrily backed away.
