The Accident

Part 4

it had been a week and Ellie only has $400 so far for plane tickets. Jade helped by selling her sketches and paintings on the streets while Ellie worked at the cafe. Ellie let the manager know she was selling outside the store so Jade wouldn't get in trouble. Ellie had got divorce papers and was prepared to walk right up to Aaron and slam them in his ugly face. jack said he would come with her just in case. Ellie had to bring Jade when she did because she didn't want to leave her alone. Ellie set up plans to do this on Sunday (tomorrow). Ellie was very nervous, but she knew she had to do it. when Sunday came jack, Ellie and jade went to the farm to find Aaron. the farm was quiet and didn't seem to have any signs of life. they walked to the door and knocked. after a minute or two Aaron finally answered. Aaron looked sad and lonely. he smelt like he hadn't had a shower in a while and all the lights in the house where off. Ellie shakily handed him the papers and he looked at them. he sighed and got a pen. he filled them out and handed her the papers. for once he looked like he hadn't drunk in a while. he slowly closed the door and they walked away quietly. they got back around 6:30 and jack took Ellie and jade out to eat. they got home and got ready for bed. Jade had school the next day and fell asleep early while Ellie stayed up and tried finding a job that would pay more. she had stayed up until 6:30 am hen her alarm went off. she woke up Jade and she got ready. Ellie figured they'd be trying to get money for a while so she enrolled Jade into school. jack offered to take her so Ellie could get some sleep and try to get a better job, but Ellie turned down the offer. Ellie got dressed and started to walk Jade to school. on the way there she saw a sign at an office saying "assistant needed" Ellie dropped jade off at school and stopped at the office to apply for the job. when she walked in she saw Aaron sitting at a desk. she avoided him as much as possible but ended up having to talk to him every once in a while. she later found out that he apparently got a job there to pay bills since the electricity was turned off. she called jack and asked him to pick Jade up from school for her and finished at work. she walked home and tried to unlock the apartment door but the key wasn't working. she stood at the door confused. she saw a note on the door and read it. it said... "you have failed to pay rent in time. we have changed the locks and put your stuff by the door." she looked around but her stuff wasn't by the door. she took the note and knocked on Jack's door. he answered and she sighed. she handed him the note but he didn't read it. he let her in and her stuff was sitting in the living room along with Jade and the animals. 

"I have an extra room," he said "you can stay here until u get another apartment"

"thank you," she said and hugged him

Ellie and jack set up the room while Jade played a video game in the living room. jack cooked dinner and they ate then went to bed after taking showers.
