The entire car ride home was nothing but constant chatter about whether or not what just happened was real, or just their inner fangirl playing another trick on them. This whole experience was just a dream come true! The five boys whom Caitlin and Destiny never imagined they would actually have a chance with had noticed them, AND flirted with them! Aside from their shyness and the discussion of a certain ex boyfriend, Destiny thought it went rather well, given the circumstances.

"Well, I already can tell we won't be getting any sleep after that." Caitlin said with a laugh as she open the car doors and started the engine. Caitlin was handling the whole situation far better than Destiny was, that much was obvious.

"Seriously! I’m going to be glued to my phone all night!” Destiny said, bouncing in her seat with her phone clutched hard to her chest. “I need some kind of proof that tonight was real! I mean, did you hear Niall’s accent!” She sighed heavily, sinking down in the seat. “And Harry’s soothing deep voice! I’m surprised you didn’t melt instantly!” She said, laughing at her own fangirl tendencies.

“It was a little hard to focus, if you didn’t notice.” Caitlin let in a low voice, staring out blankly at the road ahead of her, loosely gripping the steering wheel.

“You didn’t have to talk about it, y’know. I mean, that was really personal. I’m sure they would have understood you not wanting to discuss it.” Destiny said, instantly wishing her friend was able to avoid these thoughts about her ex boyfriend. She knew it hit her hard but normally, when out having fun with friends, thoughts like that drift away. After what seemed like forever, they arrived at their final destination.

“Let’s just go inside. It’s so late already and I have to get up early for that huge test tomorrow.” Caitlin shrugged, opening her door and stepping out before even finishing her sentence.

“Okay.” Destiny nodded, following Caitlin up to the college dorm building.

When they finally made their way up through the brightly lit hallways and several tiring flights of stairs, they reached their dorm. Caitlin opened it, not bothering to be quiet since a good three quarters of the students were up partying and playing beer pong. (The evidence was loud party music such as Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been” and drunken slurring that was bursting through the many closed doors.) Destiny, not bothering to flip on the light switch, knocked straight into the desk that sat just near the door. Caitlin flicked the light switch on, laughing out loud as she turned and saw Destiny sitting on the floor. She looked like she was holding her phone for dear life! “Wow. Really?!” she laughed as she sat at her desk chair sideways, her back leaning against the wall.

“This text-- or call-- will be proof that tonight happened so hush!” Destiny shot back, sticking her tongue out at Caitlin. Suddenly, she sat straight up, her eyes wide.

“What?” Caitlin said, her voice obviously confused.

“We forgot to get shirts! This sucks! I always get a shirt with all the venues and dates on it every time I go to any concert! Think they‘ll still have any if I ask Niall-- if he calls-- or should I search online or something?” She rambled on.

“Relax!” Caitlin stopped her, laughing at her friends mini breakdown, putting a hand on her shoulder. “I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to send us a shirt, since it’s so important to you.” She smirked slightly. “Or… y’know, maybe if they’re all out, Niall will just send you his red concert polo.” She said with a wink.

“Shut up!” Destiny said, going red and burying her face in her hands. “That would just about make my life!”

“Just think about it! That shirt just shows off his muscles so nicely.” Caitlin smirked, obviously trying to get to Destiny.

Destiny shot her a look. “Hey. Hush up before I tell Harry!” She paused. “Oh my God! No! Now we’re talking as if we’re, like, super close with them!” She laughed, falling over a little.

“Oh God, you’re right! Like your friend does.” Caitlin shook her head as she hopped off the chair and walked over to her bed. She turned and laid back on it, her legs still dangling off. “I should probably go get some extra blankets so we can start setting up to sleep. Or, well, lay down and stare at our phones all night.” She said, slowly sitting back up. She was obviously exhausted from the crazy night of screaming and having their dream come true.

A half hour passed and by this time, Caitlin was already sleeping like a baby. Destiny laid staring up at the ceiling. She was too busy replaying the entire night in her head, from the moment they began driving to the arena, to the second they said goodbye to the boys.

“From the moment I met you--” Destiny’s Stand Up ring tone sang out, making Caitlin shift a little in her bed. Thankfully, Destiny slammed her pillow over it before it could go on for any longer. It was a text.

“Hey, Destiny. It’s Niall. I know it’s late but are you still up?” Destiny read out under her breath, a smile forming on her face. Her cheeks slowly turned a light red as she typed back, scary fast. “Hey! Yeah, I’m still awake. Caitlin fell asleep on me though, sadly. Lol. Why are you up so late?” She answered, squirming from excitement. Destiny wished she could wake her friend up but if she were anything like her, she would not be too thrilled to be woken up at this time.

“Damn it, Caitlin. For all you know, Harry could have already text you!” She whispered across the room to her dead-to-the-world friend.

Before she could even turn her attention back to her phone, it lit up again. “I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t want to wake you but I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to text you :) ” That did it. Destiny put her hand over her mouth quickly, screaming in her hand. She thought she was able to suppress it but apparently not. Caitlin shifted more in her bed and sat up a little.

“Destiny?” Caitlin said, rubbing her eyes. “You okay?” She continued with a yawn.

“Uhm, yeah sorry! Niall just texted me!” Destiny answered, now shrieking.

“What did he say?!” Caitlin nearly screamed back to her out of eagerness.

“One second. Let me just answer and then I’ll pass you my phone!” She said with a smile, her eyes returning to her dimly lit screen.

“Awh! To be honest with you, I was actually waiting for your text :x I couldn’t sleep knowing I might miss a text or call from you :) ” She answered, hoping it wasn’t too honest. It was like she was flirting but still trying to remain casual, which was a bit hard for her considering who it was. Just as she answered, she tossed her phone up on the bed to Caitlin.

“Oh my god! Awh! Aren’t you two cute!” Caitlin said, teasing her.

“Shut it, you know you will be the exact same way with Harry once he gets his lazy butt out of bed and texts you!” Destiny said, remembering how him and Zayn were normally the latest ones in bed.

“Well, let’s hope!” Caitlin replied, handing Destiny’s phone back to her. She then clicked her own phone on. One missed call. “I’m guessing that’s Harry.” She said, obviously trying to force her voice to stay level. “I’m just gonna get some more sleep before I call him back tomorrow. You probably should too.” She laid back in her bed, snuggling under her covers.

“Alright, alright. Don‘t make the boy wait though!” Destiny smiled, laying back down with her phone in hand. “Goodnight!”

            “Goodnight.”
