Sehun hugged her to sleep. Could still feel his arm around her as she dreamt. Awaking in the middle of the night to see that he was gone. Momentarily wondering if she'd had some kind of illusion. Her pillow was damp from her tears, which was a sign it wasn't made up.

Groggily pushing herself up she looked around the room. The lights in the bathroom were out. A full moon was bright. Maybe she'd ask Sehun about putting up a curtain, so they wouldn't have to be blinded by mother nature every night. Curious about where he'd gone Namjoo left the bedroom.

The house was very silent. All its occupants turned in for the night. A light shone from the end of the hallway by the staircase. Meaning someone was awake and downstairs. Holding onto the railing, Namjoo quietly took each step toward the lower floor. Hearing noise in the kitchen she turned that way. Immediately spotting Sehun at the dining table eating.

She stared at his broad back. Somewhat comforted by the sight of him. He had showered and changed.

As the after effect of earlier fluctuated through her she recognized her heart softening. Feeling for Sehun. Ever grateful for him.

Dismissing the oncoming threat of bashful motions, she walked toward him. Surprising him when she pulled out the seat next to him and sat down. His spoon hung midair as he looked at her. Maybe trying to figure out if she was sleep walking.

Since her father remarried she didn't take promises well, but she believed him. The tears hadn't been because she was sad. His words had touched her. Making her emotional in that particular moment of vulnerability. No one had cared before.

Leaning her head on his shoulder she closed her eyes. Sinking into the comfort of his body she clung onto his arm while waiting for him to finish eating.

But...Oh Sehun had gone to the length to do it and she appreciated it.

Her mom would adore him.

She didn't hate him she knew. Not a bit.

Sleep started kicking in when he brought the dishes to the sink. Namjoo patiently waited by the doorway for him to finish. He took much longer than necessary scrubbing the dishes. When he finally completed the task and making sure each plate and bowl was aligned properly, he seemed surprised she was still there.

For being so icy with him from time to time, she wasn't taken aback by his reactions. Slightly aware she had probably gone overboard many times. She would be nicer to him. She had promised way back when. Namjoo would keep her words, because her husband was on her side. She would put a foot in if he did.

Namjoo would try to be better, too.

There was no hesitation when she extended her hand out to him. Oh Sehun was a good man. They were going to have a baby together.

The world turned when he linked his fingers through hers. They returned upstairs. On silent agreement she let him hug her again when they climbed into bed. She slept very soundly that night.

It was very warm by the time he woke up. Contrary to yesterday's happenings, Sehun felt anew. His heart was dancing on happy air when his hand touched Namjoo's back. She was still asleep.

He reminisced about last night when she'd come downstairs. To sit by him. Put her head on his shoulder and wait for him. Things like that didn't really happen, but it had made him really happy.

Sehun peeked into her face. Not trying to suppress the smile blooming across his face. Such simple things could still amaze him. Namjoo sleeping with him. Namjoo and their baby.
