Chapter 6~~ The Fresh Start Stage Part Two

Y/N's POV:

I put my phone back on the table as Ariana comes back in the room with a hug smile. "Good  news!" She announces and I smile excitingly, feeling my heart start beating out of my chest as I jump up from my seat. "Scooter said the offer will always be open and if you want, he can set up a meeting with Republic Records tomorrow, for you to sign as a musician." She says and my smile turns almost impossibly bigger. "Are you serious?!" I exclaim and she nods with a smile that matches mine. I sigh in pure happiness as I run to Ari, picking her up and throwing her over my shoulder. 

She squeals and starts hitting my back as I run around her huge ass house, my adrenaline pumping like crazy. I hear her sigh in contentment as she stops hitting me and stops giggling, resting her head on my shoulder as she wraps her legs around my waist. She shoves herself down gently as she wraps her arms around my neck, holding onto me as if I was gonna disappear. I finally feel my adrenaline slow down as I reach the living room once again. "You tired babe?" I ask and she nods against my shoulder. I nod and bring us upstairs and into her room, me already knowing it because I've been here several times before.

I grab some pajamas for her and I let her change in the privacy of her own room as I step out and close the door. I hear her tell me to come in, so I do, only to see her under the covers, getting comfortable. "You should stay here." She says and I playfully scoff as I chuckle. "What'd you think I was gonna do? Go home? Hell no, it's almost twelve." I say and she just rolls her eyes playfully. "Yeah whatever. The guest room has your clothes from past sleep-overs in there, come back in when you're done because I want cuddles." She says and I chuckle, nodding as I walk out the room and to the guest room I used in past sleep-overs. 

 After getting my pajamas on, I enter Ariana's room again to see her half-asleep. "Anything important happening tomorrow?" I ask and she hums quietly, moving on to her back. "Nope." She says and pats next to her. "Come lay down." She mumbles and I nod, knowing she cant see me. I walk to the other side and climb on her bed, getting under the covers as she cuddles up to me. She looks behind her and shuts the light off before cuddling into me and my chest again. "You wanna come with me to the meeting I'll accept tomorrow?" I ask and she's quick to nod rapidly. "Of course. I'll be right next to you."

"You ready Y/N!" I hear Ariana yell at me from downstairs as I run a hand through my hair one more time. "Yep!" I yell back, patting down my outfit (Up Above^) before jogging downstairs. "You look good Y/L/N." She says and I grin at her, wrapping my arms around her waist. "Thanks darling, you do too." I say as she smiles and wraps her arms around my neck. "You ready to change your future?" She asks and I take a deep breath, nodding as she smiles even bigger. "I'm really proud of you Y/NN, you know that right?" She asks and I nod, kissing her cheek. "Of course. Thank you for being the best." I say and she just winks at me and pecks my cheek. "Alright, let's go." She says and I nod as we exit her house.

The paps are already outside her house, taking pictures as we walk side by side to my car. "Y/N! Ariana! Are you two dating?!" "Y/N! What about Lauren?" One of them ask and I freeze, not walking as Ariana turns to me with a reassuring look on her face. I snap out of it as she takes my hand in hers, leading me to my car. "It's okay Y/N. Just keep going. Ignore them." She whispers to me and I nod, walking over to her side and opening the door for her. She gets in with a thank you and I nod. I jog to the drivers side and get in, shutting the door quick before turning on the car. I put my seatbelt on and move the stick to drive as I pull off to the Republic Records building. 

*Skip Drive*

As we arrive, my heart starts pumping irregularly, my palms starting to sweat. I guess Ariana sensed it because she puts her hand on top of the one that was resting on the console. "Everything will be alright Y/NN. They want you. They have no reason to reject you and your talents. Just go in there, get the job done, and come out a new you. I'll be waiting in the lobby for you as soon as you come back down." She says, looking me in the eyes with so much love I could've considered it relationship love. But I know that we're just friends, and that's all I ever want it to be with Ari. 

We get out the car and walk into the building, hands intertwined. We get some looks, but most people just mind their business as they see famous people entering and exiting everyday. I walk up to the desk to see the woman typing something on the computer. She looks up as she feels my presence and her eyes go wide as I smile at her. "Hello darling. My name's Y/N and I'm here for a meeting with Scott Braun." I say and she nods her head immediately with a smile. "Of course, I'm a big fan by the way. Room 167 on the second floor is your destination." She says and I nod with a smile, thanking her before giving Ariana a wink and walking to the elevator. 

Once I reach room 167, I knock on the door, hearing a simple 'Come in' from the other side. I take a deep breath and open the door, walking into the room seeing Scott Braun himself, along with the CEO and founder of Republic Records, Monte Lipman. "Y/N Y/L/N. Just the woman we want to see!" They say in unison and I chuckle a bit, feeling a little lighter as the warm welcome calms my nerves a bit. "Nice to see you too as well." I say and they chuckle, getting up and walking over to me. "Name's Monte, Monte Lipman, I'm the CEO." Monte says and I decide to act like I didn't know him, nodding as I accept his handshake with a smile. "Nice to finally meet you Monte." I say and he nods with a grin as Scott comes up to me.

"Nice to see you again Scott." I say and he nods with a smile, pulling me into a hug. "Right back at you Y/NN." He says, making me smile. "Alright! Lets get straight into this because I'm super excited to bring you into the industry under our name." Monte says as we go to sit down, making me smile wide. By this point, my nerves are almost completely gone and my confidence has gotten much higher compared to before I stepped in here. Basically, we just go through all the regulations and requirements, before moving on to the statistics of the contract. Everything seems to fit my needs and they also put that they will make sure to give me as less PR relationships and other publicity stunts as possible. 

Then we go over the contract for Scott and him managing me. That also fits my needs and wants. Once they finish discussing everything, I lean back in my seat, sinking everything in. I take a minute or two to think about everything, remembering the girls of Fifth Harmony's suggestion to really think it through. After a bit longer, I finally look up from my lap. 

"Alright. I'll sign it."
