LivThere he was. The boy who used to beat up boys for me when they pulled my pigtails. The boy who used to laugh at my jokes when no one else would to make me feel better. Who would sit through hours and hours of Disney movie marathons on my birthday when I was to shy to throw a party.
Lee; the boy who protected me from every bad boy, every mean girl, every fuzz that I thought was a spider. Until he changed..
But I guess we all change. Don't we? You think you know someone completely sometimes and yet.. they are a completely different person.
"I'm-I'm so sorry I'll just.. I'll just go." He stammered turning looking everywhere but my eyes. I giggled slightly missing his awkwardness. Call me crazy for not being infuriated by him; but he was always by my side since I could remember. Every tear I shed he was right there to tell me suck it up, and to just keep swimming.
I sighed and sat on the bench; on the right of course. I looked back up seeing him standing there awkwardly with his hands in his pockets, staring at the ground.
He's not forgiven; far from it.. but he was my best friend once.. maybe he deserves a second chance.
"You c-can sit down." I whispered leaning my head back seeing a dull sky, not yet containing constellations due to the sun still being up.
Please come out stars.. I'll put a cherry on top of that please..
"No I screwed up Liv, really really bad. I don't deserve to even look at you." He said in a voice that I recognized as defeat. I knew his voice almost better than I knew my own.
"Lee please s-sit down." I said quietly lifting up my head watching him standing still in his same position. He eventually took a seat on the bench as far away from me as possible; keeping his head down.
He looked so.. lonely. So broken and lost. My heart stung seeing him like this. He may have done some really messed up things, but I did love him; as a brother of course.
"I'm sorry." He said quietly as he rested his elbows on his knees holding his face in his hands. He shook his head. "So so sorry Cu-Liv." He said holding back from letting out my old nickname that used to make my cheeks turn redder than a tomato.
Now the only person who can make me blush is a stupid Italian cheese ball, who makes me mad.
I bit my lip going through all the situations in my head. If I forgive him.. what would happen? Maybe we could be friends again.. everyone deserves a second chance, right?
I hate holding grudges almost as much as I hate when Grayson eats my gummy worms and puts the empty bag on the floor near my door. He's such a butthole sometimes.
"Lee.." I said quietly not knowing what I was going to say next. He hummed and turned to look at me. I bit my lip looking at my old best friend. "I f-forgive you." His eyes went wide and I watched his expression turn to shock.
