That used to say I love you
But now just sits as a clue
For others to see
What keeps reminding me
Of the two of us and all that we were
And all that we could be
You're inked in
Stuck in my skin
Melted and stained
Labeled between my veins
You're permeant
You'll never go away
And while you never stayed
Your tattoo
Will be there
Never gaining wear or tear
Embroidered on my heart
Always being a part
Of my skin and my smile
You're
stuck

Would,
Could,
Just
Disappear
For the fear
That if you came back
It would hurt even more to have you near
Because you'll just leave
And I'll be stuck with your tattoo
With my foolish heart on my sleeve
Bleeding and throbbing
Because you were always so good at robbing
Stealing then running away
What can I say?
It's my fault
I should have hid my heart
I guess I'll be okay.
