The rest of the walk to Ashlyn's house was pretty peaceful. We took back roads and kept pretty much to ourselves. Once at the door, she got her key and unlocked it.

"I'm going to apologize before hand.. Just in case." She smiled, kissing me gently. I nodded, bracing myself. Honestly it couldn't be that bad. She opened the door and led me in, then stopped me at the doorway to the living room, pushing me back so no one in the room could see me.

"Hey, Jess.. I came to get some clothes. Sorry I didn't text last night. Hope you weren't worried." She smiled, leaning against the door frame.

"Nah. You know what you're doing.. Where have you been, by the way? Haven't been here much the past couple days.." I heard a voice from the other side of the room.

"Actually, Jess.." She giggled a little and stepped over, pulling me into the doorway. Jess just stared at me. Dropping the remote that was in her hand. She was quite a pretty little thing. Black hair, green eyes. Short. Maybe 19. 21 at the most.

"No way..." She mumbled. I smiled at her and waved.

"Uh.." Ashlyn wrapped an arm around my waist. "Jess this is Michael... and were kind of.. he's my boyfriend." She said quietly, blushing a little. God that was so cute.

Jess then proceed to scream, causing me to nearly jump out of my skin.

"Oh my God my best friend is dating Michael Clifford!" She giggled excitedly, looking at Ashlyn.

"Can i hug him or is that against some kind of code or something?" She asked, getting up from her seat.

"Jess, you can hug him. Calm down a bit first so you don't squeeze him to death, though. I'm gonna go get some clothes. Ill be right back." She lightly pecked my cheek and pulled herself away from me, for which I wasn't thankful, and a moment later she was gone.

"Okay... I think I'm over it now.." Jess smiled, hugging me gently. I hugged back for a moment before she pulled away.

She walked over to the purple colored couch and sat down, motioning for me to sit with her.

I sat down, looking around the room. There were band pictures all over the walls. I like that. Reminds me of home.

"So.. I love your music and the band wouldn't be the same without you, but.. If you hurt Ashlyn.. I may just have to kill you." She looked at me. I could tell she was completely serious.

"I've no intentions to do that." I answered, leaning back against the couch.

"Good. Cause I really don't want to go to prison." she sighed.

Ashlyn walked back in and sat beside me.

"Getting along?" She smiled, leaning against me.

"I told him if he hurt you I'd have to kill him." Jess chuckled.

"Jess! Don't tell him things like that. We both know you couldn't hurt a fly." She smiled. "We've got to be going... I'll text you in a bit."

"Alright.."Jess chuckled, hugging Ashlyn tightly. "Don't get into too much trouble. And don't forget me. You do live here, you know "

"Actually" I chimed in "We're going to a party tonight... You're welcome to come along. We'll be by around 9. Be ready. " Ashlyn looked at me a little worried.

"I didn't know about that." She laughed, lacing her fingers with mine.

"Ashton just told me this morning.. I hope you don't mind. "

"Not at all ad long as you don't leave me by myself."

"Not even in your dreams." I squeezed her hand lightly.

"Ew. Get your lovey crap out of my house!" Jess laughed, pushing us out the door. "See you at 9!"

I walked quietly into the house, pulling Ashlyn behind me. Ashton sat on the couch, looking a little annoyed.

"What's up, Ash?" I smiled at him, hoping maybe he was just spaced out.

"Michael I need to talk to you in the kitchen." He said, walking to the kitchen. I let go of Ashlyn,  following Ash. A chorus of 'ooh... Mike's in trouble' behind me. Once inside the kitchen with the door shut, he faced me, phone in hand. Shit he's seen it.

"How was your little outing, Mikey?" He smiled and was back to the  Ash I normally see.

"It was okay... I met Ashlyn's roommate.. talked with a few fans.." I trailed off.

"Mhmm... wanna know what I seen today on twitter?" He looked at me, still smiling.

"Uh... I guess."

"I seen a turtle with a cat head photoshopped onto its body." He laughed, showing me the picture. I laughed nervously.

"That's great, Ash.."

"Know what else I seen!?" He shouted, not meanly, just loud.

"Hmm?" I hummed, leaning against the table.

"A certain red haired boy, with an Ashlyn attached to his body." He smirked, sliding the phone over to me. I looked at it a moment. Some of the replies were mean.. But most of them were really supporting. Better than I had thought.

"Oh.." I sighed. "yeah.. I had a fan do that today..."

"And what for?" He said, a humbling look on his face.

"She's my girlfriend.. I don't want to hide her." I stated simply. He was then running into the living room.

"You to owe me 5 dollars!" He yelled, jumping onto Luke and Calum, who were laid out on the sofa.

"What? Why!" Luke whined, curling up beside Calum.

"They're dating." He smiled, pointing at me and Ashlyn who were now situated into a chair. She blushed, playing with my fingers.

"You guys bet on me and Ashlyn?" I chuckled. That's just like them.

"Totally did. Now shut up and get ready. We've got a party to go to." Ash smiled, walking up the stairs.
