I sat in the locker room after my first session of training back from medical leave. I did a basic point-and-shoot exercise under guidance from North. I was second-best shot in Project FREELANCER behnid him. Then I had a second training session right after with basic target practice, nothing complex, nothing exhilerating, just standard practice routine to rehabiliitate my skills.

There was a loud bang and groan as Carolina stomped into the room, throwing her helmet against the wall. She'd just had another training exercise and apparently she didn't do so well.

I could hear Gamma and Sigma talking with Carolina afterwards, about Agent Texas, and Omega, another AI fragment. How Carolina thought Texas was being treated specially. Jealousy in it's most ugly form. Carolina then marched out of the room with a purpose. I was debating whether I should finally obey my stomach which has been growling at me for hours, or delay to satisfy curiosity. I sided with my curiosity and followed suit.

Carolina went straight toward the training arena, where Texas was supposed to have the floor. She was discussing something with the Director and Councilor. Carolina was stopped by an unfortunate soldier who denied her, her objective, resulting in him being thrown right into the midst of the three talking in the arena, knocking the soldier unconscious and certainly grabbing the attention of the other three.

There was a little conversation, then Texas and Carolina turned to each other, voices rising. I couldn't quite hear them, but I could tell their minds were racing with insults and other such things. The Director then posed a question, who was to be denied their AI, South or Washington.

Carolina replied quickly with something so stupid I didn't realize she was capable of it. She asked for both AIs.

The Councilor objected, saying that everyone was hot-headed, the Director quickly dismissed it and granted Carolina her wish. Another experiment the Director was happy to oblige.

That's all I needed to hear. I quickly ran out of the room. York and North are probably eating something right about now. I ran straight for the mess hall and nearly slammed right into the table where North, South, York, Washington, and Maine were all eating.

"Whoa, where's the fire, Alaska?" York inquired in his usual laidback manner. I tried to open my mouth to speak, remembering that I was mute. I began to rapidly sign with my hands, a futile effort due to the fact that none of them knew sign language.

"Calm down," York said, standing up and grabbing my hands as I continued to sign rapidly. "Calm down, Alaska."

"What's gotten into her?" Washington asked. I turned to him then to everyone trying to figure out a way to quickly convey the message. I made a C with my hand then an A-R-O-L-I-N-A.

"Carolina? What about Carolina?" York asked, his interesting increasing. I held up two fingers on one hand.

"Two? C'mon Alaska, you can do better than that in sharades."

I shook my head then spelt D-E-L-T-A.

"Ok, Carolina, two, Delta... Gonna have to be more specific than that," North replied.

I repeated D-E-L-T-A.

"Alright, alright. Delta, Alaska wants to talk to you or something," York said, allowing Delta to project his hologram.

"Hello Agent Alaska, it is nice to see you again. How may I be of assistance."

I spelt out Carolina then held up the number 2, then pointed at Delta then my head.

"Carolina's getting implanted with two AIs?" South asked. I pointed at South and nodded.

"Wait, two?" Washington asked. I nodded frantically.
