Author's Note: Sorry this part isn't that exciting but it's necessary to move foward. Don't worry the next part will be much more interested. I might end up having to seperate this chapter into three sections. Enjoy!

The Director stood in the planning room. The information gathered from Project Eve showed that some insurrection activity was on a nearby planet, and precious military property, things that Project Freelancer was in need of, were stored in surplus there. He looked at the Councilor.
“I have the suggested team for this, except, I disagree with the roster,” the Councilor noted.
“What do you disagree with?” the Director asked.
“This mission’s roster calls for Agent Texas, Agent South Dakota, and Agent New York. Agent South Dakota has shown rashness that interferes with her stealth. She could be the reason this mission fails.”
“She could also be the reason that this mission succeeds. Her skill set is what we need for this mission. And the concerns about her team mindset have been remedied by removing her brother from removing Agent North Dakota from the roster. The rivalry in this team will make it,” the Director explained, standing. “I shall inform the three of them.”
Carolina still hasn’t woken up and York has yet to leave her side. It’s been a week or so since the encounter with Project Eve. I’ve been practicing with my hologram equipment every spare moment. I’ve actually had it to where people would confuse me with my hologram because I didn’t speak they were used to my no responsiveness. It was only until they would try and pat me on the head, shoulder or accidentally bump into my hologram that they would realize it wasn’t me at all, and also sometimes the hologram flickered out since it could only last a certain period of time.
I was preparing for another training session, an infiltration and agility scenario, something according to the other agents, hasn’t been attempted before, but FILSS and the training arena have been able to simulate three story buildings and complex rooftops down to crates with historically accurate labels and signs.
The Director, followed by the Councilor, marched into the Recovery Bay where Carolina was still unconscious. Agent York was still just sitting there holding Carolina’s hand.
I quietly listened as I prepared.
“Agent York.”
“Sir,” York greeted without even turning toward the Director. Something that in the normal military could get you shot, depending on how much your superior officer liked or disliked you.
“Agent York, there is a top secret mission of great importance. Briefing is at 1200.”
Agent York’s gaze didn’t wave from Carolina when he replied.
“I refuse sir.”
“Agent York, you do not choose to go on missions. This mission is of paramount significance to this program. Agent Carolina will be here when you return.”
“I’m not leaving Carolina, sir,” York replied firmly to the Director.
“Agent York,” the Councilor noted to him, “I believe what the Director is trying to say is that your skill set is vital to this mission. You are needed by your fellow agents.”
“What about Alaska?” York asked.
This surprised me.
“Do not change the subject Agent,” the Director ordered.
