[Gravity Stories Arc] Chapter 1- Motto

Cassini's POV

Huygens and I were so close for our first Venus flyby. I can't wait to meet Messenger and Magellan later when huygens and I are so close to Venus's atmosphere during our first venus flyby!

Venus is a deadly place due to the atmosphere and its environment, huygens and I learnt it when we are on earth preparing for launch.

While getting closer to Venus, I was thinking about the human that talk to me many hours like days ago. That earthling did not tell me its name but what I know is it will with me as she works with me too. Huygens had one too, I wonder how they got their ultra-rare ability to understand what we speaking back on earth plus Huygens and I are going to chat with them later after the first Venus Gravity Assist.

As I looked at Venus, I swiftly a look back at the earth. It is not really small but small enough that I temporarily can see its details, mostly the lands and oceans. My homeland is now in spring, just six months after our launch. Huygens and I also observe both equinox and solstice on Earth too, I am questioning about did Saturn also had both solstice and equinox before Huygens began chatting to me with another point.

"Hey, Cass. I don't know but I think this is how many senior brothers and sisters of us felt."

"You're right, Huy. Voyagers told us about this sense before."

"I still can't think that we are spacecraft rather than aircraft or anything."

"I don't know if this is what fate chooses for us. We can be humans although space is hard like what our mission team members said: maybe we are the chosen one, the chosen one to bring miracles. Who knows? We named after two numerous significant astronomers in Saturnian discoveries and exploration and we are going to renew their legacy. Everything seems like all are connected..."

"If we are the ones to maintain the legacy, then we are the bridge between past and future like how Voyagers are the bond between us and the Mariner!"

"I am sure that we will spur the future Cassini and Huygens to follow their name origin! We will spur the future how matter what!"

"Wait...I presume that we discovered our motto!"

"What will the motto be, huygens?"

"I don't know but it will come with 'miracle' and 'future'."

"Maybe we were able to discover it after our first Venus flyby...I need to focus on it soon or later."

"Oh right! Thank you for reminding me, Cassini!"

Huygens' POV

I found mine after we are separated from the rocket.

To think that we are chosen to be the first of the many: first to land on Titan, first to orbit around Saturn. Saturn is not an easy place to go as missions like ours need a long time to be realised. Earthlings are now in different places, having different ideals: causing wars and confits, but also causing different cultures to even experience. Earthlings are a complex species to ever understand.

Cassini had been known as 'the last flagship spacecraft' due to the budget being so low for Cassini's creators to even create a big spacecraft like hers plus that plutonium issue that cassini and I never forget. Our path is questioning so much earthling. Cassini and I don't know what to do with the fact that we can't go back now unless we created a miracle: a miracle that hopefully change the earthling's heart.

Those are in my mind for a long time, we did not even start our mission and already: Cassini and I were stressed out. Scared that our earthling team will even be got hurt by other earthlings, scared that we will not be able to change someone's heart. Cassini and my future are uncertain. But yet, cassini and I are something that worth the earthling's effort.
