Rosé is a great singer. She attended and participated at many contests when she was just 8. She has a unique voice, the main reason why she was admitted to IKA with her 3 other friends, named Lisa,Jennie and Jisoo. Her father helped her by teaching her how to play a guitar.
When she was 18, she asked her father,"Uhmm... Pa, pwede po ba ko mag enroll sa IKA?",at dahil siya nag-iisang anak, her father always wanted her to get anything she wanted, sa madaling sabi gusto niya itong iispoil ngunit may limitations pa rin.
Unlike any other schools, hindi silang nagbibigay ng tests, aspiring students have to audition.
She auditioned with her guitar and passed.
Chanyeol, on the other hand was also interested in singing but paid more attention to rapping. Rapping was a habit of him since childhood na nahasa niya sa kanyang paglaki. He idolized an artist named CL, a former student of IKA, that has great charisma, stage presence and the ability to rapping any verse with ease.
He was self trained, hindi siya masyadong suportado ng parents niya dahil hindi katulad ni Rosé, hindi naman silang ganon kayaman.
He has 11 brothers, dami diba, the reason for his parents to not only think about him but think also about his siblings.
He wasn't allowed by his parents in attending the Institute, but he insisted to be a scholar.
He auditioned and passed, pero dahil scholar siya, may mga karagdagang gawaing nakapataw sa kanya, kailangan rin niya ng matataas na grades dahil kung hindi, baka mawala ang scholarship na pinaghirapan niya.
