Just an Ordinary Girl

Chapter 20

"Emily?" Stephanie questioned as she opened the door.

"Where's Harry?!" She questioned Stephanie.

"Uh probably in his room.” Stephanie told her.

"Oh, sorry I thought this was it." Emily replied turning her head to check the room number.

"Sorry Stephanie" She told her as she was walking away.

"Who was it babe?" Zayn asked the confused Stephanie.

"Emily, she was looking for Harry and she was pissed." 

"Weird, well why don't you just come back to bed" He said with a small grin. Stephanie laughed and snuggled up next to him.

-Flash Back-

"Zayn?" Someone called from down the street, to Zayn who was leaving a store. 

"Stephanie?" He replied.

"I thought you and boys were leaving." She told him remembering their good byes from earlier that evening.

"We are in the morning." He told her, but she thought he seemed a bit off. He was looking down at the ground.

"Zayn, are you alright?" Stephanie asked him and he didn’t look up.

"Well it's just" He slowly started talking. "I'm going to miss you."

"We're going to miss you too Zayn." She said not picking up on what he was saying.

"No Steph" He started to lift his head." I'm going to miss you" he put emphasize on the 'you' this time. "I really like you Stephanie." He finished saying looking right into her eyes.

She stood there silent, she didn't know what to say, and the boy she had liked for years that never knew she existed said he liked her. His cheeks turned red when she didn't respond. 

"It's okay I understand.” He began to stay.

"Zayn wait, it's not that I really like you too." She told him smiling. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Really?" He asked smiling.

"Yes, really" She said taking a step closer to him. He leaned in and kissed her closing the gap between them. They separated both with huge grins on their faces.

They started to walk down the long street together, they needed to go in the same direction anyway, at first they were quiet then Zayn took Stephanie's hand as they continued to walk down the street. The pair finally reached Stephanie's car, Zayn hugged her and kissed her one more time.

"Good bye Stephanie" Zayn said smiling leaning against the car.

"Bye Zayn! I'll miss you!" She called back as he began to walk away.

Harry jumped when he heard someone at the door, waking Devan up as well. They had fallen asleep when they were sitting there.

Harry stood up and Devan rested her head on the couch drifting back to sleep.

"Coming!" He said as he walked towards the door. He swung the door open to see Emily glaring at him.

"What?" He asked her coldly.
