#18- Idiotic Warrior Cats Prophecies

Scenario:
Goldenstream was lounging in her private den again, lazily picking dirt and grime out of her long, hooked claws. Suddenly, Zodiacstar crashed into Goldenstream's den and began spasming on the floor like she had been electrocuted. This startled Goldenstream, though she never showed it thanks to her excellent masking skills.

"Oh, good heavens? Is she dying?" The warrior murmured, circling around the young,  trembling leader (who now looked like she was breakdancing...emphasis on the break).

"StarClan's sending a prophecy!" Flamestar exclaimed. She had appeared out of nowhere with Tempeststar. "Or she's eaten a deathberry. Let's just hope it's not the latter." The flame-coloured leader chirped, before turning her attention back to Zodiacstar.

"If she dies, I'll never forgive myself! Never!" Tempeststar weeped as she fainted onto Goldenstream's plush nest.

Zodiacstar's body suddenly jerked. She rose into a sitting position without a sound. The leader opened her eyes, and they shone with the light of millions of stars. Everyone gasped.

"Elements Of Fire, Stars, and Water alone will save the Clan. The purple Gleam will fall." After she uttered those words, she did the Electric Slide and passed out right next to Tempeststar.

"But, what could this mean???" Goldenstream wondered aloud.

"I dunno." Said Flamestar and Tempeststar in unison. Flames licked at the red she-cat's paws, while watery wings flapped at Tempeststar's back. Tiny stars and constellations formed near Zodiacstar's head. "This one is a toughie." Goldenstream continued to rant.

"I'm the best in the whole Clan at figuring out what prophecies mean! You guys remember when I solved the Dragon Prophecy when I was a kit. It took me five seconds! But I just can't figure this out!!!" She exclaimed in disbelief before going away to sulk. "Everyone get out, I need to cr— I mean, I need to think about what that prophecy means." Everyone (even Zodiacstar) waltzed out of the den.

Two Days Later

Zodiacstar, Tempeststar, Flamestar, and Stargleam were fighting a huge honey badger. The badger swiped at Stargleam and she tumbled down a ravine. The three leaders used their magical powers of firethrowing, waterbending, and star manipulation to send the honey badger into space. It would never hurt the Clan again.

'So, this is what the prophecy meant?'

Aah, the typical glaringly-obvious prophecy. How we readers (and sometimes writers) loathe them. The meaning of a prophecy is to a) foreshadow what's coming in a future chapter, but b) to be so cryptic that you can't possibly guess who it's about until the time comes. Well...at least it's supposed to be. C'mon, let the readers work a little ;3
