A Nightmare | Chapter 4

Deku's POV

"Deku... Deku wake up".

I opened my eyes. It was cold, freezing actually. Where were we? I sat up.

"Deku we fell asleep! It's midnight"!

"Oh shot we are going to be in so much trouble".

I grabbed her hand and we ran too the school. We were three hours late to curfew. We weren't going to hear the end of it from Iida. When we saw the dorms you can tell that the lights were still on in the common room. They were all up oh crap this isn't good.

We ran through the door and both tripped and fell face first on the floor. We were both panting.

"You two are LATE"!

I opened my eyes while a very stern looking Iida started to scold us. This wasn't going to be fun.

"We were nervous you guys got kidnapped or something"! Said Momo

"Yeah ribit. We are glad you two are ok".

I sat up and looked around. Everyone in class 1-A was there. Even Bakugo was standing off to the side.

"Sorry we made you worry"! I said and scratched my head.

"The mall closed at 9pm. Where were you two for the past 3 hours?!?!" Asked Kirishima.

"Uhh well.." Uraraka started.

"We went on the wrong train and got lost! Both of our phones died on the train so we couldn't tell you we would be late. Sorry for worrying you"!

That was a total lie. I didn't want them to know were we actually were. That would of been embarrassing.

"You Guys have to be more careful"! Iida said while throwing around his arms once again.

"Uh sorry Iida it won't happen again! Promise"! Uraraka said without looking up.

"Let's head to bed. It's already super late. Besides I don't want Mr. Aizawa coming around".

"Your right Kirishima". I said. I was honestly still a little drowsy since we just woke up 5 minuets ago.

"Night everyone Ribit!"

Everyone went there separate ways and within minutes the dorms where silent once again. I opened my dresser and put on some pjs. The overwhelming feeling of sleep stared to consume me, and before you new it, I was asleep once again.

"DEKU HELP"!

I was awaken to the sound on my name being yelled. I shot up quickly And realized, I was back at the park. Wait where was Uraraka??

I looked around to see nothing but darkness. The clouds covered the moon and stars and the beautiful scene before, was now the thing of the past.

"DEKU!"

I sprinted towards the sound of her voice. It was Uraraka. I couldn't see five feet in front of me nearly running into multiple tree but then dodging them at the very last second.

"DEKU SAVE ME PLEASE"!

The constant screaming kept me going faster and faster until I reached the clearing. Blood. All I could see was blood. I ran up to Uraraka who was faced down into the grass with multiple stab wounds. I flipped her over and saw that her eyes where still open.

"Uraraka please talk to me! Answer me!"

"You where two late Deku".

"NO PLEASE YOUR STILL HERE! JUST BREATHE".

"How are you going to be a hero if you just let your friend die".

Die... die.... Die...

I shot up from my bed gasping for air. I grabbed my chest and started to cough. I couldn't breathe. What was even happening? Was I choking on air?

Eventually I was able to catch my breathe. I was still breathing heavy though. What just happened?? I'm used to having nightmares but this was not normal. My nightmares were never his bad.

This one made me feel cold, helpless, alone even. A shiver went down my spine as I tried to steady my breathe. Once all was calm, I decided to get a glass of water from the kitchen. Might help me cool off.

I used my shaking arms and lifted myself from my bed. The hallway was dark. All the lights were turned off and it gave the hallway an eire find of feeling. As I walked down I felt pressure in my chest. It happened again. I couldn't breathe but this time I couldn't cough either. I sat in the ground while hyperventilating. Fear crept into my mind. Tears flowing from my eyes down my cheeks.

I'm ok, I'm ok, I'm ok, I repeated to myself.

Was I ok?

And as quickly as it came, the weight on my chest lifted and I gasped for a breathe of air. This was ridiculous. I couldn't go down stairs and get myself a cup of water?

I grunted and finished my treck down stairs and got water. The lights flashed on when I reached the kitchen. My mind was still a little fatigued and fuzzy. I'm being a baby. I'm sure anyone else would have the same dream and be fine.

Though I was mentally scolding myself, I couldn't get that dream out of my head. The she was faced down on the ground bleeding out. Her dead expression. Her voice.

"GOD DAMNIT"

I threw the cup through the air. It made a load crash against the wall and I watched the shards of glass fell to the floor.

"STOP BEING SO FUCKING WEEK"!

I froze and covered my mouth. Did I just scream? Omg I did! DID I JUST SWEAR?!?! Did anyone hear me? Was anyone around? This isn't good!

I stood frozen for a couple of minutes. I don't think I was that loud, but the crash was pretty loud. Hopefully, I didn't wake up anyone.

Quickly and quietly, I cleaned up the glass shards and got myself a glass of water. Honestly wasn't sure what just happened. I completely just had a meltdown in the kitchen and somehow know one woke up. Must be luck.

I had never been so happy to see my bed again. But once I crawled back into it, I couldn't go back to sleep. I turned my head to the clock ticking quietly next to me.

2:47 am

This is going to be a long night. I closed my eyes and tried to ignore the constant fear that was building up inside of me. Just ignore you are fine. You are ok.
