"Your mother wasn't the only one in that car."

"What?"

At last, turning around to face me, his eyes beheld a solemn stare as they connected with mine.

"Someone else was in that car too, Yuna."

I shook my head repeatedly, refusing to register what he was trying to say. Refusing to believe the man that I was forced to call my father.

"No. No, you're lying. No."

"Child, I am not playing games."

"It can't be," I whispered, heavily shrouded in denial.

"Mark's mother?"

Kim Jongin's eyes flashed, a small smile endearing his stoic features.

"Sooyoung and I always belonged to each other. Even when some people tried to tear us apart."

Rage nearly consumed me as I lashed out at him, clenching his suit so that it crumpled under my trembling hands.

"Some people? Some people?!"

"Your wife and your child are some people to you?! She loved you! My mother loved you so much, you dick!"

My hands flinched away as if they had touched something hot, shivers coursing through my body, rendering me unable to detect if they were moulded with anger or shock.

"How could you do that? Didn't you care about me? About your child? Your blood?"

"How could you be so sick?" I spat, incredulity lacing my tone.

His eyes glazed over with memories, hurt overtaking his expression.

"Yuna, would you leave someone you loved if you were forced to marry someone else? Would you?"

For a fraction of a second, a familiar face flared across my eyes; the gentle slope of the eyes, the bright smile revealing a thin line of gums. And it dissolved as soon as it had come, morphing into something else, and I shook my head to hold myself.

"Yuna, I'm afraid there is something more I have to tell you."

My eyes screwed shut, my head pounded against my skull. I couldn't handle it, not anymore.

"No, shut up. Shut up!"

"You need to listen, child."

"No!"

"Mark..."

That name grabbed my attention, my ears standing still.

"What? What about him?"

"He's not Tuan's son."

My eyes widened as I failed to comprehend him.

"What?"

"Mark is my son."

"He's your brother."
