Chapter Three

I woke up still coming to grips with the events of the past night. I was snuggled up in bed when my phone buzzed, I reached over and grabbed it from the bedside table. My heart raced when I saw I had a text from an unknown number, my first thought was Ricky which made my heart race even more.

Hello Amelia It's Ricky, Simons already spoken to Lilla and we are meeting up at round one at this local bar, you still up for it?

My hand went numb and I nearly dropped my phone, I'd never been so nervous about a text message for a long time. I quickly typed back a reply

Morning Ricky, yeah sounds lovely can't wait 😊

I didn't know what to say, my nerves had gotten the better of me and my mind was to busy to string a proper answer. I lay back on my bed and smiled to myself, I had to look nice today which meant putting in a real effort with my appearance. I hoped into the shower and washed my hair until it was cleanest I could get it. Then, I got changed into my out for the day, I wore black skinny jeans with a dark plum coloured jumper. My shoes were small boots and pulled the outfit together perfectly.

I straightened my hair and put a light layer of make up on to hide my awful face. I could hear Lilla playing music extremely loud from her room, obviously catching up on the Kaiser Chiefs albums she'd missed. I walked over to her room and knocked loudly so she might hear me. The music dropped and the door opened, Lilla was stood smiling at me while she fixed her hair into place.

"Some intense dancing been going on?" I joked and she let out a little giggle.

"Maybe, just doing my homework" she winked and walked over to her phone which was plugged into her speaker.

"So, you never told me Simon got in touch with you!" I sat on her bed and rested my head on my hands.

"Yeah i couldn't believe that! Ricky had given my number to him and he texted late last night" she smiled as she unlocked her phone. "We planned it all last night and he spoke to Ricky this morning"

"Yeah Ricky text me this morning around half 11, i was still in bed and was planning on staying in bed till late afternoon" i giggled, Lilla straightened her outfit and walked out the room with me following behind.

We drove into the city center and parked at one of the local parking spots. We were meeting Ricky and Simon in a bar called 1871, i'd never been but from what i saw on google it looked very swanky.

The front of the bar was open with two massive windows each side of the large open doors. The walls were painted a shimmering gray, a very sophisticated looking building.

We walked through and my eyes fell on two men stood at the bar, Ricky and Simon. Ricky was wearing a shirt which was unbutton from the top about three down with black jeans. Simon wore a buttoned up long sleeve shirt with blue jeans and they both looked so smart yet so casual. Ricky's eyes met mine and he smiled, he was leaning on the bar but stood up straight as we got closer.

"Hi, how you doing?" He asked as put my bag down on the counter

"Hello, I'm good thank you, how are you?" I smiled and pulled out my purse.

"I'm really good thank you" he was always really bubbly when he spoke. "Hey first drinks on me" Ricky pushed my purse back in my bag and called the bartender over.

"Are you sure?" I asked, i felt guilty as i didn't want him to think i was going to sponge off him.

As Ricky order our drinks i looked over to Lilla and Simon and smiled when i saw them both laughing. They were getting on so well and i was happy she might have found someone she clicked with.

"Here you go"Ricky placed a drink on the coster in front of me "Get home alright?" He asked before he sipped his pint.

"Yeah we did, i went straight to bed when i got back i don't think i'd ever been so tired in my life" i giggled and sipped my drink.

"Yeah i know the feeling, we were up at eight today recording so i've been shattered and to top everything off we have to drive to Sheffield later at round half three for a gig" he rolled his eyes and held his pint on the bar counter.

"Oh my god are we getting in the way? We could always do another day that suites you two?" I nervously chocked on my drink and placed it back on the bar. I felt awful, they had places to be and we were interrupting.

"Oh god no you're fine! We'd be sat round doing nothing for hours so dont worry, you're not stopping anything" he smiled cheekily to reassure me.

"But its like a two hour drive" I stood awkwardly and played with the fabric of my jumper.

"Not when these lot are around" he nudged Simon who was too busy in convocation with Lilla to care. "Time goes so quick with them, we can be an hour late if we need anyway" he gave that smirk which made my heart race.

"I just thought, why not come with us? We can bring a guest if we want so do you too want to come?" He leaned on the bar awaiting my answer.

"Really? You're serious?" I questioned

"Why wouldn't i be?" His eyebrow raised and smirked.

"Urm Lilla? You up for it? I'm not doing anything?" I turned too Lilla who was listening to us.

"Yeah sounds like fun, i've always wanted to go back stage at a gig, can check it off the bucket list" she giggled to herself and Simon watched her smiling.

"Great we need to go get all our stuff so we'll send a car round in an hour to get you and take you down there?" Ricky stood up and clapped his hands then let them rest by his side as he fiddled in a pocket for something.

"It feels so wrong you doing all this for us, how much can we give you for all it?" I grabbed my bag and went to get money but Ricky's hand gently pushed it back again.

"Really its fine, its the least we can do for you, its on us" he winked and tapped Simon on the arm as a sign to leave.

They were half way out when Ricky spun round on his heels.

"One more thing before i forget, we're staying in a hotel so bring your PJ's" he smiled and the two of them walked off.

"Lilla what is happening?" I let out a small laugh and turned to her, my hand pressed on my lip.

"We must have amazing luck" she linked my arm and pulled me forward "come on we need to pack" we both giggled and walked back to the car.

I've not been in Leeds more than 2 weeks and i'm already having an amazing time....

It can only go up!

Hope you are enjoying the story, i feel like its getting better so thats plus, got a really good story line planned so i really hope it works well
