I spent the day listening to Kaiser Chiefs on loop and day dreaming about what was to come. I couldn't get over the path my life was taking, I had my best friend back and gained five new friends in the process. The door buzzer rang through the house so grabbed my bag and coat as i heard Lilla respond to the person on the end of it. We walked out and when we got to the bottom of the building we were greeted by a black Audi with blacked out windows. The driver opened the door and we got in, it was the weirdest thing ever and i wasn't sure i liked it. It seemed we were going the whole way without the others as we drove for what felt like hours none stop. Finally we arrived at a hotel, it was a massive black building with a modern exterior. I grabbed my bag and headed for the lobby with Lilla just behind me, we both felt awkward and didn't know what to do next. The lobby was just like the outside, to each side were restaurants and to the left slightly was a lift and set of stairs heading to the rooms. Music played softly while people sipped coffee on the sofas and chairs surrounding the reception which was on the back wall.
Once we'd scanned the room we walked over to the reception, a young lady with dark hair pinned in a bun smiled at us and clicked on her computer.
"Hi urm..." Lilla Stuttered "We're here with some friends and we didn't know if a room had been booked or if we needed to book one now?" She took a deep breath, obviously satisfied with her question.
"What are you're names?" she asked as she scanned a little box full of room keys.
"Urrm Lilla and Amelia" I replied, she flicked through the box until she pulled out two room keys.
"Here you go, i'll just need you to sign a couple things then they are all yours" She placed two sheets of paper on the desk which we signed. I think it was to confirm we were ourselves and all that.
Lilla grabbed the keys and shuffled over to the lift. Once it arrived we stepped inside and Lilla assessed the cards. Her eyebrow raised and gave a puzzled expression.
"whats wrong?' i asked slightly worried to which she laughed.
"We have separate rooms" she laughed to herself "You're 207 and i'm 206"
Why did we have separate rooms? Maybe they hadn't booked it and a manger thought it was two people wanting different rooms. Oh well, i thought, maybe you could get a good night sleep because from what i'd seen their gigs were late at night. We walked down hallways until we reached 207 and 206, they were opposite which was a good thing. Lilla placed her bag on the floor and opened her door, which i copied. I had to push the door hard as it was a little stiff, but what i saw changed my mind set of the whole thing. The room was massive. It had a bath room to the right which was that clean it shimmered. A double bed was in the center of the wall on the right side with two bedside table each side. A flat screen TV was mounted into the wall opposite the bed and a vanity was on the far side of one of the bed side tables. A large window took up the whole wall in front of you as you entered. It looked over a city and i could only wait to see it all lit up at night. I was snapped out of a day dream when my door was knocked, i walked over and opened it to see Lilla with her mouth wide open but not making any sound.
"I know this cant be true!" I was just as shocked as her, we both did this jumpy thing which involved lots of screaming.
"How much is all this going to cost though!"Lilla finally said, she seemed dead serious.
"I was thinking that, we are going to be in a lot of debt" i glanced back at the room and sighed.
"Right well simon just texted me to say he'll be round at six to get us as thats when they have to leave so that gives us Two hours to get ready" she smiled happily.
"Wait where are they staying?" I was puzzled were we in different hotels? A part of me sank.
"No they are up two levels" she was still smiling.
