Chapter 10

Dear Paya and Cetanu. How are we gonna convince a beast like him? Things went wrong far too quickly. We were at our ship at the moment. We had to retreat after that fiasco and no one wanted to face him again. This is unacceptable! We Yaut'ja were train and raise to fear nothing and to face all foe head on, yet with that human it was different. He emanated fear and death in its purest form. It pour from him like an endless stream, and to think that he could tame such a creature. That snake, it was waiting in the dark, it was watching, stalking us, and he was its master. How could we not notice such a creature? It had to be his doing, he must've deliberately shown himself in order to distract us while the snake got closer. Still how can he control such a large creature?

My brother was in his room. He wanted to be alone, for some reason. Guess he wanted to prepare his weapons or something like that. I was in mine walking in circles trying to figure out what to do. When I got tired of walking I sat down scuffing and annoyed. I called my mother once again and told her the situation. Like always she found a flaw. She told me that we had forgotten to tell him about the deal and that it should've only been me to face him. Is she trying to get me kill? I asked he why but she only said that it was my responsibility. She also stated that I forgot to asked for my father's armor back. Why those she think "he" would actually hand it over? He probably already melt it down to make his own armor. She told me to go back alone and to just relay her message. I asked her why she wanted to meet this human and the only answer I got from her was that she found him interesting and worth meeting. Before I could ask why she told me to head out and find him right now and then she cut off the com. That woman is nothing but a puzzle to me. However she was the least of my concern right now. I had to go out to face him again, alone. I hate to admit it, but I felt a cold chill run up my spine just thinking about it. He was fear itself. I had to arm my self with as many weapons as I could carry just to build up the nerve to face him. I headed outside with out telling anyone and went back to the cave to look for him in the cold of the night. Once I reached the clearing of before, I saw the snake again. It was curled up as if it was asleep but one of the head had raised and it took a look at me. I grabbed my Combistick in a tight grip just to be ready but the snake just ignored me and lowered its head once again. That's when I heard him.

N- "You know I find it amazing you of all others would dare come back here knowing fully well what horrors might befall you, and to come all alone. Your either very brave or very stupid."

K- I was afraid but I tried my best not to show it "I only came here to ask you for a reconsideration. My mother wishes to meet with you and discuss a few subjects with you. She also wishes to offer you a deal."

N- He chuckled darkly and I still had no clue where he was. "A deal you say. What kind of deal?"

K- "My mother fail to mention what it was. She wishes to only discuss it with you."

N- "And what makes her think I would be interested in making a deal with her?"

K- "I don't know. However there is one other subject I wish to discuss."

N- " Really now? And that is?"

K- "My father's armor. The armor you stole from me. I want it back."

N- "And why should I return such a fine piece of craftsmanship to a spoil brat like you? If it wasn't for me that armor would be already rusted beyond recognition. If anything you were disrespecting it.".

K- Angry and insulted "How dare you accuse me of being disrespectful to my father's armor?!? You know nothing about me."

N- "Oh but I do "princes". Your the daughter of Elia'ser the destroyer of Hives. He was a great warrior. Honestly is a shame he died in a ship malfunction."
