chapter 5

               After lyra and Toby were done fighting, for now, we went to the car. i sat in the back seat, lyra drove and toby sat in the front seat. i dont mind sitting in the back seat, it just means i have more room for my bag to sit.

                 i was playing on my phone and listening to lyra and toby bicker back and forth when i got a text from my mom, 

M: Rose where are you right now? 

                 i just ignored it thinking it was just my mom being nosey or just over protective. i sighed and looked up at lyra as she drove, she was lip syncing to a song im not too sure what it was i think it was foo fighter  but like i said im not too sure. i looked over to toby and he was doing to same, lip syncing to the music. 

                  i felt kinda out of place but i pushed it out of my mind as i opened snapchat. i went through some people's story then i decided to go to my friend list, i clicked on the name "electric boogaloo".  i was about to type hey but got interrupted by my phone going off again by a text from my mom " your phones blowing up ain't it?" toby asked looking back at me "yeah its just my mom. shes asking where i am and what im doing, you know overprotective moms" i said with a giggle "your moms overprotective ?"  lyra asked looking in the rear mirror " yeah kind of. she just doesnt want me to get hurt, that's all"   i said looking back to my phone but i decided to not look at the text right now. we were already in the parking lot of walmart so i put up my phone and looked around. it seemed to be a good day because we got a parking spot near the front of the rows. we parked then got out. 

                    when we got in the store  lyra told me and toby to go return and pick out some movies and said that she would go and get the popcorn. then she walked off and we went to find the redbox machine . once we got there i saw Evelyn and matthew  and instantly ran up to them and attacked them, but they seemed off more stiff like something was bothering them. i just shrugged it off " hey guys!" i said they smiled at me "hey Rose, whos this with you?" i looked back at toby. 

                    He seemed to be twitching more than he was in the car or at the house, i just smiled at him, grabbed his hand and pulled him over to my little group. "this is toby, he's lyras brother." i said smiling at them, i looked back at toby and smiled at him "toby this is Evelyn and this is Matthew " i said pointing at them as i said their names " its nice to meet you toby." evelyn said then matthew cleared his throat " well i think me and evelyn need to leave, there's  someone waiting in the car for us." matthew said as he grabbed the bags from Evelyn's hands "oh is it your mom?" i said like a tiny toddler Evelyn looked at matthew then spoke hesitantly "umm, no actually its Alexander."

                 Alexander the really popular guy in school, who hates me with a passion who likes to chase me around the school like a cat and mouse. and really likes to aggressively flirt with me  "oh. umm, ok you guys have fun." i said uncomfortably as i watched them walk off " whos Alexander?" i was startled by the sudden question " well Alexander is someone i really dont like. and is someone who really  doesn't like me" i said turning to face him  "well i think he doesn't like me, he's really mean to me and calls me names, but then he'll like start flirting with me?" i stopped and sighed "its really weird." i tried explaining to but it just came out weird "well do you like him?" i looked up at toby in shock "no not really, if i was to date a guy i'd want him to be nice to me, but he's never nice to me." toby just smiled "well then just ignore him and if he doesn't stop then come get me, i'll take care of him" he said with a wink, making me slightly blush. 

          "ok."

ok so this is a really  short chapter but hey i almost didnt get it out today ive just been really busy this week i have just started high school band and and all we were doing in band before i joined was beginner stuff just so you know i have been playing clarinet for 3 years and have just started bass clarinet  so yeah thank you for reading and vote/heart   it really gives me confidence boasts

so every time i go to update and hit publish it refuses to publish i think wattpad doesnt want me to update so im sorry this is coming out later than its supposed to and thank you for reading
