"Marco Gumabao tonight with Boy Abunda!" The moment his name was called, the small crowd in the studio immediately erupted with loud cheers. He waved to the crowd and made beso with Boy Abunda before settling down on his seat.
"Magandang gabi, soon-to-be inaanak! Kamusta?" Nakangiting bati sa kanya ng batikang host, as he shifted in his seat to cross legs.
"Good evening, Ninong!" He greeted back, na ikinatuwa naman ng host. "Good evening sa mga manunuod. I'm good.. I'm good. It's so nice to be here with everyone tonight," Pagbati niya sabay tingin sa mga tao sa loob ng studio at ngumiti.
Naging inside joke na nila ni Boy Abunda ang Ninong/Inaanak na tawag sa isa't isa dahil na rin sa napabalitang kaganapan sa buhay niya.
"Okay! Before I ask you the questions everyone's so curious about, let me just tell you how thankful I am na pinaunlakan mo ang imbitasyon namin. I know how busy you are nowadays," Pagbibigay paalam ni Boy.
"It's my pleasure, syempre po I wouldn't say no sa invitation ng TWBA." He said sincerely.
"Kamusta ka? We want to congratulate you for having another successful grand opening. Sabi ni Darla, it was a hit daw!"
Tumango-tango si Marco sa kanila at masayang umagree. He recently opened a new restaurant in Tomas Morato.
"You've been so blessed, inaanak. Blessings are pouring down on you and you really deserve everything. Masayang-masaya ako sa mga tagumpay mo," Walang habas ang pasasalamat ni Marco sa host at halos thank you lang ang nasabi niya rito.
"I am so thankful po. I owe all of these to God and sa mga walang humpay na sumusuporta sa akin at sa mga ginagawa kong proyekto," He glanced at the camera and gave a grateful smile. Nagcheer naman ang mga studio audience.
"Now with the questions, Marco." Tumango naman siya kay Boy. "As mentioned earlier, you recently opened a restaurant. Can you tell us about it and how was the process for you?" Boy shifted to be able to lean on his seat.
"It wasn't actually my first business but I could say na mas naging hands on ako this time. Like, I was involve with coming up with the food on the menu, which suppliers to get, you know, those kind of things..." He explained.
"Wait, how did you get interested and do you cook as well?" Additional question ni Boy sa kanya.
"Nako I don't cook but I love to eat lang talaga," He chuckled. "It all started when my friends started to invest din talaga but I wasn't really into it before like when si Deej naging part owner then sila Pat, that's when I really got interested. Lagi kasi napaguusapan."
"Oh yeah I remember it was with Vice, ano? Yung kay DJ in San Juan? Ang galing naman na you influence each other with these things"
"Yeah, that was his first. You know naman si DJ sometimes he's the kuya of our group... siya kasi talaga konsensya ng barkada namin and si Dom," Pagbibiro niya.
"Can you say now na gamay mo na ang pagnenegosyo?" Boy asked him.
"Honestly, if you asked me that before, Tito Boy, I would definitely say no kasi parang naglalaro lang ako noon and I wasn't even dealing with figures pero ngayon I know I still have a lot of things to work on and learn but I am more confident now sa paghandle ng investments," He answered truthfully.
