(Out on the streets a half hour later...)
Asriel: Chara, when are we gonna head back?
Chara: What do you mean?
Gaster: Probably because, I don't know, we've been walking around for almost 30 minutes?
Chara: Really? We've been out walking for that long? Huh, I must've lost track of time. Alright, we'll head back.
Asriel: Good.
Chara: I just need another 5 minutes.
Asriel: Seriously?
Gaster: You know, we still have to walk all the way back home.
Chara: Fine, we'll head back now.
(Around the corner of a nearby building, Betty sits and listens to the conversation.)
Betty: *sighs* (Well, I'm just gonna have to hope that I don't get killed. I do have a backup plan to make them believe that I need their help, but I'm not sure it'll immediately convince them... anyway, I have to do this, after all. I need their help... badly...)
(Betty then hesitatingly steps into view of Chara, Gaster, and Asriel.)
Asriel: Hey, it's not all bad we have to head back! The walk was pretty fun, and-
Chara: (noticing Betty and interrupting Asriel) Is that who I think it is?
(Asriel and Gaster look over towards Betty.)
Asriel: Hey, shouldn't she be dead?
Gaster: Well, I don't know how she came back, but she's about to be dead...
(Asriel and Chara shoot a "you had one job" look at Gaster.)
Gaster: ...for real this time.
(As Betty looks towards Chara, Gaster, and Asriel, she notices Gaster firing up his Gaster Blaster and, out of near disbelief, runs back to the side of the building. However, she isn't able to get far before Gaster cuts her off.)
Gaster: Why are you running?
Betty: Because I don't want to get hurt in the process of trying to help you!
Asriel: Help us? Yeah, you don't really want to do that.
Betty: Yes, I really do. Though, it's more like I need your help...
Chara: Please. You think we're actually going to help you?
Betty: You don't even know what I need help with!
Gaster: ...State what you need. Now.
Betty: It's... a long explanation.
Gaster: Well then, make it quick.
Betty: You know about the Wizard of Bravery, right? Agate Lightvale?
Gaster: The one who created you? Yes, I'm very aware.
Betty: Well... I don't know how (she does know how)... but she's back. She's alive.
Chara: ...You have got to be making this up.
Betty: I'm not, I swear. I saw it with my own eyes.
Asriel: Well, even if we did believe you, how would you expect us to help you after what you did?
Betty: Fine. You don't trust me?
Chara: Of course we don't. After all, you put on a facade last time. What makes you think that we aren't thinking you're doing that again right now?
Betty: Well... would I do this if I was still evil?
Gaster: Do... what?
(In a sudden flash of light, Betty uses most of her magic to revive Sans, making Gaster's blue eye reappear and surprising everyone.)
Sans: Hey, G. Asriel... Chara.
Chara: So we meet again, comedian.
Asriel: Guys, now isn't the time, okay?
(Chara notices Betty kneeling on the ground, exhausted from the amount of magic she used to revive Sans and decides to help her up.)
Betty: I thought you didn't trust me.
Chara: Well, it seems like you really do need our help. Plus, I know for a fact that you wouldn't pull a maneuver like what you just did if you were the way you used to be.
Asriel: Chara, I hope you know what you're doing.
Chara: I do, alright?
Asriel: Okay, then... don't say I didn't warn ya...
(After heading back to Chara and Asriel's home, everyone works out the real threat, which isn't Betty.)
Undyne: So, basically, someone from the past came back to life to destroy society?
Jessica: Destruction of society, at this point, is something we might as well get used to.
(A laugh is heard in the distance, and when everyone looks to see where it's coming from, Agate is seen floating in the distance.)
Chara: Wow, Betty, you weren't kidding!
(Betty remembers what happened in the Void, with the glitches that allowed her to remember Frisk...)
Betty: I have an idea. I know someone that can help us. Gaster, can you take me, Chara, and Sans to your lab?
Gaster: Sure?
(Oh boy, things sure are getting good, right? No? Okay... I'll post the next part asap, just wait and hang on until then.)
