For you

You're the yellow butterfly among falling autumn leaves

Leaving them swirling in your wake, like a forgotten dream.

You're the dew drop that catches the first ray of dawn,

And all the colors in the infinite spectrum it draws.

I could search the night sky, for a million stars to swear by,

And i wouldn't find one as bright as you, one i can call mine.

They say each moment hides an eternity, waiting to be found

And each memory will fade, like a forgotten sound.

But as the petals of time fall away, kissing the ground to hum their notes,

In that symphony i'll wait, in that fleeting infinity, you and i belong.
