Jihoon cheerfully entered the garden he was about to shout her name but stopped himself when he noticed her drawing something in her notebook.
He always wondered what she drew or wrote in that notebook of hers. He was curious but he didn't want her to feel like he was invading her privacy.
Just now he noticed that how beautiful she was. Her long black hair, her soft skin and her eyes. It was alluring.
He stood there admiring her. Haneul looked up and when their eyes met she flashed him a small smile.
Jihoon walked up to her and sat near her.
"What were you drawing?" Jihoon asked hoping that she won't feel like he was invading her privacy.
"I" She started and took a deep breath.
"I was just drawing the things i like."
she said. Jihoon wanted to know more but he kept quiet. He knows that haneul wasn't much of a sociable person so he wanted to take it slow. He wanted her to feel comfortable around him.Jihoon placed his hands under his thighs and swayed his leg side to side.
"Are you living near here?" Jihoon asked already guessing the answer yes, since she came here often. But still he just wanted to ask.
Haneul looked at jihoon and stopped abruptly for a moment before she looked away again.
"Yeah" her voice was low. The atmosphere seemed to be sad. Jihoon noticed this and even though he was curious why it was like that, he wanted to lighten up the mood and make her at ease more than his curiosity.
"I live near here too. At the apartment over there" jihoon said while pointing at the building near to the garden while flashing a bright smile hoping for her to return the smile too which she did.
He was glad. That the expressionless girl he saw months ago is smiling now in front of him.
Even though haneul doesn't talk much, jihoon felt an incredible connection with her. She was his special friend.
