"So who wants to tell the first story?" Mark said while panting.
"Since it was my idea why don't I go first?" I replied while sitting on the floor cross legged. Everyone looked at me and began sitting on the floor in a circle again, this time I was sat between Jeno and Jaemin.
"Why don't we turn the lights off to make it spookier?" Haechan spoke while smirking at the youngest two.
"No, that's just mean, if we turn the lights off you can stay up with them." Taeyong spoke in a stern voice.
"I guess we could turn the lamps on, if Haechan wants it to be spookier..." A small voice beside Johnny spoke, so we all looked in that direction and saw Chenle fiddling with his hands.
"No Lele, it's fine. We don't have to do anything you guys don't want to do." Johnny said while pulling him into a brief hug.
"No, it's okay, we are old enough to not get scared by stories people tell their kids to scare them into being good, right Ji?" Chenle said with a grin that spread from ear to ear.
"Yeah, Lele is right. Let's give Hyuck the spooky atmosphere he wants." Jisung replied while heading to turn on some lamps.

After the atmosphere had become silent and slightly scarier I decided to start my story...
"Not so long ago in an academy much like ours, a group of friends went on a late night walk into the woods. They went in search of a scary story they could tell their friends when they returned. But little did they know that a mad man was on the loose looking for his next victim..." I said, pausing for effect. As I went to begin my story again the lamps turned off, leaving us in darkness.
"Okay guys, that wasn't funny. Whoever turned them off please turn them back on." I said in a shaky voice while grabbing the hands of the two boys beside me.

"It wasn't any of us, we've all been listening to your crap story." Haechan said, which earned him a smack on the back of the head from someone.
"Well it was obviously..." Mark started talking, but he was interrupted by a blood curdling scream that echoed through the corridors. They all stood up ready to investigate.
"Maybe we should check that out? To see if that person is okay. I think it's best if we go in pairs." Ten said while his eyes were adjusting to the darkness. But I was already halfway out the room when he said his plan to the others. I couldn't wait, I had to see what the fuss was about. But more importantly I wanted to make sure the person responsible for the scream was okay.

"Guys, I'm in the corridor. I think you should see this." I said while backing up towards the door. All I could see was a figure at the other end of the corridor. When they noticed me they started to run at me, this caused me to pick up the pace and walk backwards faster, the downside to this was that I couldn't see behind me because it was dark and I was too scared to turn around. I slipped on the carpet and the figured lunged. This caused me to scream in fear and shut my eyes tightly.

"Y/N, what's wrong? Adachi Y/N, please talk to us. What did you see?" I could hear Mark, his voice coated in worry as he held me close to him.
"I saw someone. They ran towards me and as they lunged for me they disappeared," I said, still refusing to open my eyes. "I didn't get a good look at them. I just saw a figure running through the darkness. You guys have to believe me, I know what I saw." I said almost crying as I pleaded with them.
"It's okay, we believe you. We know you wouldn't lie. Do you still want to see if the first screamer is okay?" Jaemin spoke softly as he rubbed my back.
"Yeah, I think we should see if they are okay. Guys decide partners between you, I'm going with Mark." I said while pulling the older boy up before grabbing his hand so we wouldn't get separated while walking through the dark building.
"You know, Renjun was really worried about you when we heard you scream. I mean we were all scared, but him especially." Mark whispered to break the silence. This made me smile.
"Where should we look first? I was thinking maybe towards the the back of the building," I said while trying to navigate through the winding corridor. "This is like a maze even when there's light, it's virtually impossible to navigate in this darkness." I pulled out my phone and turned the torch on, to help illuminate our surroundings.

As I was about to step forward Mark pulled me back and hid us round a corner. As he did a figure walked past where we were just standing.
"Remember, stealth is key." He said in a hushed tone. But clearly not hushed enough, as the foot steps that were leading away from us were now heading back in our direction. Causing the two of us to sprint in the direction we just came, hoping whoever was there wouldn't follow us.
As we rounded a corner I felt myself run into something. Well, it was more like someone.

Japanese:
"Hello Miss Adachi, I will make this quick. Feel free to tell your friends, but your parents are missing in action. It is still unknown as to wether they are alive or not. But I will let you know as soon as I know anything."

That voice, I recognized it. But I didn't know where from. With that the figure vanished and the lights turned back on. But all I could do was think about what the person had said. This caused me to fall to my knees and sob. I knew this was what being a spy was like. Going on missions and not knowing if you, or someone you loved would return. But I couldn't believe both my parents had vanished.

Japanese:
"Mum, dad where are you? Please come back. I can't lose you."

Was all I could say as the tears streamed down my cheeks. I felt weak. I felt as though I was suddenly incomplete. All I could do was cry and hope they would come back soon.

English:
"Oh there you are Y/N. Wait, why are you crying? What happened?" Mark whispered while hugging me and rubbing my back. I knew I had to calm down and tell him, but my breath kept catching in my throat and soon I was hyperventilating. This caused Mark to panic even more, so he picked me up and carried me back to our shared room.
"Guys, come back to the room. It's important." He yelled to the others, while trying to calm me down.

They all sat and silently observed me crying, while taking it in turns to hug and comfort me, which lasted for a couple hours. Currently it was Jisung's turn to comfort me. This time I felt it was time to tell them what happened.
"Guys, I really appreciate you trying to make me feel better. It's just I feel bad for the trouble that was caused tonight. The figure was looking for me. He came to bring me some news," I spoke quietly while wiping the tears from my face with the sleeve of my jumper. "He said my parents are missing in action. Their state is unknown, but assured he would visit me again when they knew if my parents were alive or not."  This caused the remaining 10 boys to come and hug me. The atmosphere became a depressed one. We all knew things like this happened, but we didn't think it would happen to us or anyone close to us.

"Y/N, I promise we will do whatever we can to cheer you up and make you feel better." Haechan said, his words shocking everyone.

"Hyuck, come here and hug me." My voice almost a whisper. But he heard and obeyed, everyone else disbanded and went to their beds to sleep. The older four biding us farewell and retired to their room. The last thing I remember before I fell asleep was Haechan rubbing my back to comfort me.
