*Ding!Ding!Ding!* 

The school bell for Hope's Peak Academy rang, dismissing everyone for the day. Kyoko watched all of her friends' flood out the door, anxiously making plans with their friends for the weekend. Kyoko sighed and continued her calculus homework. 

It had been a month since Celestia Ludenberg had been brutally murdered while gambling. Everyone had seemed to have gotten over this, except Kyoko.

"Heyyyyy, Makoto~," Sayaka Maizono said in a spooky ghost voice. "Did you here Celestia now haunts the schoooolllll?"

"What?" Makoto said, the color draining from his face. "You're joking, Sayaka. Ghosts aren't real."

"Hehe... Whatever you sayyyyyyy AKA hehe get it"" Sayaka said continuing her stupid ghost act.

"I just...I can't believe you just made a pun out of your name.."Said Makoto in the most deafeted tone ever. Sayaka just smiled then she and Makoto exited the room and said goodbye to Kyoko.

 Kyoko knew they were just kidding. But for them to disrespect Celeste like that...Really bothered her. She gritted her teeth and squeezed her pencil. She then took a deep breath and sat back down.

 Kyoko got to stay after school because her father was the Head Master of Hope's Peak. She liked exploring the school and all of its mystery. The history of the school was like Kyoko's method of coping Celestia's death. The sky soon began to turn darker.

 Kyoko had almost finished her homework until she heard a gentle, soft, whisper in her ear. Kyoko expected to hear whispers of pain and anguish but instead got the answers to her homework.Kyoko, out of character, instantly dropped her things and began running out of the classroom. 

But, when she met the door, a faint relaxed voice called out, "Not even a thank-you?" Kyoko paused for a second, she realized the accent. 

She turned around slowly, and whispered, "Thank you." Kyoko heard a sigh and the desk creaking. The desk Celeste used to sit in...was creaking like somebody was sitting in it.

"Very well. Proceed."

 In stunned silence, Kyoko walked to the desk."...Celestia....?" She managed to get out, her voice became chalky. She hadn't dared say her name out loud... She was too nervous about breaking down. She only referred to her with terms like "her" and "she."

 "Kyoko Kirigiri." The voice replied back with a slight chuckle, "You missed me?" Celestia then snapped her fingers so Kyoko would be able to see her.

"More then you could imagine," Kyoko said, as her eyes began becoming teary as she raced to embrace Celestia. Then ultimately failed... Because, you can't hold air. So Kyoko fell threw her and face planted.

"Owwwwww" Kyoko grumbled while rubbing her head as Celestia snickered.

"I love you, Kyoko. I love how you have such a strong mysterious exterior when in actuality you are a dumb clutz." Said a smiling Celeste.

"The girl who got gang-raped and then murdered is calling me a dumb clutz," replied Kyoko, slightly annoyed.

Celeste snapped, "That has nothing to do with being dumb! I was very unlucky. I was in the wrong part of town late in the night and was.... well, was very unfortunate."

Kyoko, now crying and raising her voice responded, "It could have been prevented if you would have planned ahead!" Her voice broke, and Kyoko was now crying, "We could've gone on dates.. We could have been like a normal couple. Eating Ice Cream... Sneaking out... Snuggling... Talking about our biggest fears and aspirations...."

Celeste bit her lip. Celeste had already accepted what had happened, but it broke her heart to see how it affected Kyoko...

 "Kyoko, before I died I was and still was always thinking of you. I was getting money from gambling to buy us diamond promise rings."

"So. It's my fault."

"No, it isn't."

"Yes, yes it is."

Celestia put her hand on top of Kyoko's and smiled. "It's all ok. I've accepted everything. I don't want my death to be a burden on you, Kyoko" Celestia said. "We can get through this together."

Kyoko wiped away a tear and nodded, and gave Celeste's hand a squeeze. "Me either." She said with a slight grin.
