Way Too in Deep

Chapter 9

Shawn walked in the bedroom finding Toni stretched out with her now small growing belly. Holding the cam corder he spoke, "hey baby. Say hey to the camera."Watching as she scrolled on her iPad looking at baby stuff like cribs and clothes he smiled. Toni rolled her eyes and smiled. "Him and this damn camera," she thought to herself. "Look at my son y'all," Shawn said rubbing her belly. "Say hey to the camera son," he continued until his camera died. Closing it he placed it on a dresser walking back over, "I went by my moms," Shawn announced as he kicked off his shoes climbing on the bed. Shawn's parents separated. His mother moved to Carson, California so the drive was roughly forty five minutes or so. "...I told her about the baby," Shawn said touching Toni's stomach, it was getting bigger. "Well..what she say?" Toni quizzed. "She's cool with it. So is my pops. I talked to him yesterday."

"You told yo folks yet?" Shawn asked. Toni shook her head, "no." "T what you waiting on? When am I going to meet yo peoples? You met my og and pops," Shawn randomly questioned. Toni looked at Shawn confused on why he was now urgent to meet them. "I have to tell them in my own way..they not the best to talk to.." Toni honestly replied. It was true Shawn haven't met her parents. "Well you're having my baby so....I definitely think this is the right time."

Time elapsed

Toni was now twelve weeks pregnant and her single was about to drop. On the other hand Shawn had a show tonight. Shawn had rapped his song, "Taste." "Uh yeah see how she moving to the beat. Put carrots on her hand and not the ones that you eat. Chillin in the cut like I'm peroxide," he rapped. The crowd must've enjoyed it because they sang all way until the end.

"Y'all turnt this bitch out," Shawn laughed holding the mic. "Aye big shout out to DJ E-smooth," he added. The music faded and the lights dimmed a little "....but guys I wanna do some a lil special tonight. Can I do that?" The crowd went crazzzyyyy, some were even screaming, "Yes!" Shawn looked to the side of stage, "Toni come here," he said beckoning her.

THE CROWD WAS GOING CRAAZZYY

"What?" Toni said looking from the side of the stage, she was confused. "What what is he talking about?" she asked Ben who was on the side with her." Come here" Shawn told her tilting his head to the side still holding the mic. Toni took a deep breath and walked on the stage smiling and waving. When they got closer Shawn chuckled, "Hey," he let out away from the mic.

"Hey?" Toni replied chuckling in between. The crowd was still roaring, "Are you crazy? What are you doing?!" Toni repeated. "Maybe a little," Shawn said, he had put a lot of thought into what Ben said and he knew how important that was to her so he felt it was the least he could do. At that moment Shawn kissed Toni's hand and got on one knee still holding her hand. Toni heart started beating rapidly skipping a beat.

The crowd was cheering them on. Toni's breathing suddenly became irregular, "Shawn what are you doing?" she asked. Shawn collected a little box from a crew member on stage. Taking the gold diamond ring out he disposed the box by tossing it. Toni used her free manicured hand and placed it over her mouth showcasing her red nail polish, "Oh my God oh my God," she said over and over with glistening eyes. "Toni Renee Carson will you marry me?" Shawn asked holding the ring.

"Say yes!" the fans shouted out causing Toni to laugh with tear filled eyes. Toni cried out, "Yes! Yes of course I will marry you," she practically yelled. Shawn slid the rock that costed him nearly 10 million, he was okay to spend that much on her because he loved her and with that Shawn grabbed the mic. Shawn got up quickly, he and Toni shared a kiss. "She said yeah! She about to be Mrs. Shawn Taylor," he informed the crowd. Shawn had the stadium lose all cellular signal, making their phones freeze completely. He didn't want anyone to capture their special moment and publicize it.
