Way Too in Deep

Chapter 11

Toni had broke the news to her parents, well her mother that she was pregnant. Michelle sobbed on the phone she had felt like she failed her daughter. She didn't want her daughter making the same mistakes she did, her and Thomas had Toni and William before they got married.

Today Toni had a photoshoot for the cover of her new single. After a quick shower she got dressed and left driving to the studio downtown where the shoot was located. Toni walked in casually dressed with a pair of shades. "Hey Tim" she greeted taking a seat in the tall, foldable black chair. "How'd you sleep?" Tim asked making conversation while he took her hair out the ponytail it was in.

"Good" Toni said removing her shades, "How about you?" "I sleep alright I was up last night, look what I finished yesterday" Timothy said pulling the mannequin head with his latest wig on it. "Oh my...gosh. Okay Timothy I see you," Toni said stroking the hair. "You like it?" Timothy asked. "Yess I love itttt" Toni complimented looking in the mirror at her hair. "Arrogant Tae better watch out," Toni joked. "Na girllll," Timothy laughed. "Purrrr. Arrogant Tim okayyyy but good cause I was thinking about doing the red one for the shoot but since you like this we can do this instead, I just got to curl and style it" Timothy said plugging his curling irons up and getting his material ready.

Timothy was now done installing the wig, he placed a pin in the last curl so it could stay tight while she got her makeup done. There was MUA on set who did Toni's makeup. Toni closed her eyes to allow the MUA to have a good canvas, her face. Walking in a person spotted Toni walking in "Hey stranger," he said showcasing his pearly white teeth. Toni couldn't recognize right off the bat causing her to open her eyes, "Hey" Toni replied to a surprise. Eyeing him for a while Toni couldn't deny he was indeed fine, he smelled good and his dreads was neatly twisted. "What you doing around these parts?" he asked her fixing the crooked ring on his pinky.....it was Joesph, the NFL player.

Joesph sported a "Los Angeles Lions" sweat suit with a lion logo, that was the team he played for but he still managed to make it look good. "I could ask you the same thing," Toni smartly replied closing her eyes so the MUA could resume her eyeshadow. Joesph stared at her for a second. "Damn" he thought to himself, she was just fine to him. Thinking back to when they encountered Joseph laughed to himself.

"My agent booked me to do a photo shoot for sports illustrated cover," he replied. "Yeah?" Toni said. "Yeah..so." "That's big," Toni congratulated. "Thanks," he said with a small smile. Joesph was the MVP of the year, his team went to the Super bowl and won. He even collected a few rings from previous teams he played for before they traded him. "Well I'll see you around," Joesph said leaving Toni to her own thoughts. A little while after Toni's makeup was finished and she made her way to the dressing room, to change.

On the way walking to her designated dressing room heard Give It To Me Baby by Rick James. Getting closer to the room to her surprise Toni spotted Joesph, stopping she peeked inside. He was suited in his football gear posing. click "Good. Okay stay like that," a photographer said holding his camera the way photographers do you know all photography like. click "beautiful." click Joesph jumped throwing a football under one leg. Toni giggled a little. Holding the football Joesph looked up at the ceiling, his eyes wandered and noticed Toni. They both laughed, Joesph was hoping she didn't see too much. click Holding the football he flexed a little, trying to show off a little. Toni laughed leaving to her dressing room.

She was now up, Toni wore a loose yet stylish outfit. She hadn't gone public with the pregnancy she wasn't hiding it but she wasn't ready to let the world know, the world was cruel and people are mean. It was like her own little secret from the world, anything about Toni you could google. Weight, height, middle name, even her favorite TV show. While the photography crew set the equipment up Toni checked herself out in the mirror, pulling her curls forward. When looking up Joesph walked up behind her. Toni laughed, "give it to you, huh?" she joked from the song. "Aw you heard that?" Joesph laughed. "Hard to miss. You the only brother I know playing Rick James in here."
