Shawn walked the girls upstairs to their room, and tucked them in. Their bedroom was set up nicely, they had princess decor and night lights. Shawn helped them get settled in. Bailey was already nodding off, Ariel on the other hand was up asking questions. "Daddy when are you coming back?" Ari asked. Shawn sighed, "Ari I promise you and princess Bailey gone be with me, it's just a lot of stuff I got to figure out right now, okay? and I got a surprise," he said watching her fight her sleep.

"A surprise? Tell me," she said smiling. "Next time, okay?" "Okay daddy," Ari said giving him a hug. "Love you princess Ari, get some sleep," Shawn said standing up and placing a kiss on both Ariel and Bailey's forehead. Shawn shut the girls room and walked down the stairs. It was nice for them to spend time together as a family and to he hadn't had a home cooked meal in a while, he kind of even missed it...the cooking. Alexis was in the living room picking up toys such as bratz dolls, tiaras and fairy wands. Shawn caught a glimpse of her as he walked in.

Alexis was unaware he entered, she was grabbing the last toy when she noticed. Standing up straight, "you put them down?" she asked. "Yeah..." "Good," she said continuing to straighten up. "How the girls doing? They straight on everything?" Shawn asked taking a seat on the couch. "Pretty much.....I mean Ariel and Bailey is growing constantly everyday so I've been getting new clothes and shoes here and there," Alexis said stacking the shoes neatly by the closet. Alexis continued cleaning opening a box labeled, "kitchen" she took out a towel and folded it.

"How are you Lexi?" Shawn asked grabbing a towel and folding it. He used to called her that. "Shawn I'm fine," Alexis responded keeping it short. "You know if you need anything I'm here, I got-"

"Shawn the kids are sleep now, you can leave. You don't have to do this.." Alexis told him playing the towel back in the box and grabbing the swifter nearby. She was not interested in what he had to say... at all. "Lexi look...I don't want it to be bad blood between us...I know I've messed up so many times with you but we got Ari and Bailey to think about," Shawn said in a low tone.

".....and that stopped what?" Alexis questioned holding the swifter with her head leaning to the side. "Shawn you don't give a damn about anyone but yourself and you know that I-" Alexis snapped raising her voice, stopping because she didn't want to wake the kids. She continued cleaning to distract her feelings, she felt herself getting emotional.

"Congratulations on your engagement," she told him without looking. Shawn looked at Alexis, he could see the hurt in her eyes. "Alexis look that's not how I wanted you to find out, I wanted you to meet her. Toni is a great per..." Alexis kept cleaning as if he wasn't talking. "...you know I love you and nothing will change that, you gave me my children," told her. Before leaving Shawn took the wad of blue face bills covered with rubber-bands out his pocket and placed it on the table and with that he left.

When Shawn made it home, Toni was in bed sleep. Shawn got in the shower and brushed his teeth, when he opened the bathroom door turning on the light, Toni moved around. Waking up from the commotion and light hitting her eyes, "Where'd you go?" Toni asked in a sleepy tone when he got in bed.

Fast Forward (2) months

Toni and Shawn decided to speed the wedding up, to get it over with. It was a couple of days before the wedding.

Ironically the week of your wedding you're supposed to be all excited but instead Toni was stressed out. From the colors, to the perfect dress, and all other things women stress out about on their wedding day like a pimple. As a kid Toni had always knew her father would walk her down the aisle to meet her husband at the end, but she wasn't too sure about that now.
