Matt tugged impatiently at Edd's wrist.

"Come on Edd!" the ginger pleaded. "We have to get a good spot in order to have the best view!"

Matt gave up trying to pull Edd away from his dresser, and instead flopped down on his friend's bed. Just because Matt was taller, it didn't mean he was stronger. If Edd didn't want to move, he wasn't gonna move.

Edd shook his head and stifled a laugh, his brown hair falling in front of his face. He brushed it back to the sides of his face.

"Matt, we literally live right next to a cliff with the perfect view of everything. I don't know why you're so eager to get up there," Edd said.

Matt groaned. "You know exactly why! I've never seen a meteor shower! And you always tell me miracles happen on meteor showers."

Edd nodded, as he slipped on his bright green hoodie, with a fabric patch that said "cola" sewn on to one of the sleeves.

"That's how I met Ringo," Edd responded, grabbing the blanket off his bed and heading into the living room.

Matt got up off the bed and followed. Edd quickly folded tye blanket in his hands and set in on to the couch, next to a sleeping Ringo. Ringo gave a quiet sleepy purr and Edd stroked her back a few times.

"Matt, you should go put on a jacket. It's kinda chilly tonight," Edd advised. Matt nodded, and ran upstairs to his room, throwing on the neatly folded, bright green, plaid jacket lying on his bed. Matt didn't button it up though, for he found it more stylish if people could view the plain purple t-shirt he wore underneath.

Matt went to leave the room, but caught sight of himself in one of the mirrors hung up in his room.

The ginger gave a cheeky smile and winked. "Lookin' handsome today Matt," he complimented, before leaving the room for real.

Edd was waiting for him downstairs, blanket tucked under one arm, can of cola being held in his other hand.

"Ready?" the brunette asked. Matt eagerly nodded. "Then let's go!"

The two walked outside, and marched up the hill. Matt's legs started to hurt halfway through the climb, but he didn't pay it much mind. What he was thinking about however, was the miracle he would be given.

Edd was given something to love; Ringo. Maybe Matt would be given someone to love. Or someone to love him.

A cool breeze blew threw, and it made Matt shiver. He clutched both sides of his jacket, and pulled it close, in an attempt to try and warm himself up.

When the duo finally reached the top of the hill, Matt felt like his face was gonna freeze off. He looked at Edd.

"I still look fabulous, right?" Matt asked, as he pulled a comb out from his jean pocket. He carried a comb around with him wherever he went. He gently stroked his hair a few times, before giving up because of the wind.

Edd chuckled. "Yes Matt. You look great." Edd was used to his friends narcissism, but he didn't mind it.

Just then, a bright light flew threw the sky. Edd quickly laid the blanket down on the ground, and he and Matt quickly sat down on it and tilted their heads up towards the sky.

More lights flickered through the star covered sky.

"Woah..." Matt whispered, stunned by the beauty of the meteors. "So pretty."

The ginger closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. When he reopened his eyes, he saw a meteor hurdling straight for him and Edd. Matt quickly pulled Edd down, right as the meteor whizzed right over their heads and down the hill.

Edd and Matt sat back up, and gave each other a side glance.

"Let's go see the meteor up close!" Edd suggested, grabbing Matt by the wrist and pulling him down the hill. There were patches of burnt grass, from where the meteor must've hit the ground.

At the bottom of the hill, there was a glowing ball of fire. Matt and Edd stayed about five feet away. Matt set his hand on his shorter friend's shoulder and slowly walked towards the flame.

As he got closer, the fire suddenly went out, and there laid a man. He was wearing a black and white checkered poncho, a baby blue t-shirt, and jeans. He had spiky hair, and a checkered band on one of his wrists. He looked about Matt and Edd's age.

"Woah!" Matt exclaimed, as Edd got closer to the man. Edd gently shook the stranger, causing him to stir.

The man opened one eye, and then both of them, causing Edd and Matt to gape at how unique they are. They were plain black, no pupils, no whit, no color.

The man jumped, seemingly startled, and started wildly thrashing and flailing.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to intrude or harm you in any way! I swear I come to your planet on peaceful terms!" the man shouted.

Edd grabbed the man's arms, while Matt crouched down next to this strange person.

"We're not gonna hurt you," Matt said, looking at the man more closely. "We were just wondering why you fell from the sky while on fire. Humans don't normally do that."

The man looked confused. "Human? I'm not human? Are you human? If you are that means I'm on Earth, which is a very god thing."

Edd and Matt gave each other worried glances.

"Who are you then?" Edd asked, hesitantly releasing the stranger's wrists.

The man gave a small smile. "I'm called Tom. I come from the planet Srats. I was sent here to avoid being taken by the Red Leader."

Edd gave another look at the young man in front of him.

"So, are you actually an alien?" Edd asked.

Tom looked offended for a moment, before nodding. "Though where I come from, you two would be considered the aliens."

Matt and Edd stood up, Matt offering Tom his hand. Tom didn't take it, and instead stood up on his own.

"Can you do anything weird?" Matt asked, bewildered by Tom.

Tom gave am awkward smile. "What do you mean weird? Like something humans can't do?"

Matt nodded enthusiastically, while Edd stood next to him, hand placed tightly on his taller friend's wrist. Edd was ready to bolt if Tom tried to do anything harmful to either of them. It's not that Edd didn't like meeting new people, It's just that this person fell from the sky and claimed to be an alien.

Tom thought for a moment, before giving a full smile.

"I can do this!" the black-eyed brit said, as he lifted himself off the ground. He was flying, in a sense.

"I can hover!" Tom said. Edd and Matt once again stood in awe. They truly were in the presence of someone beyond their understanding.
