"So whaddya guys wanna do today?" Edd asked, as he leaned over the sink and did dishes."We should go shopping!" Matt suggested, over enthusiastically.
Edd placed a plate in the dish rack. "Are you sure about shopping? We do that so often. And we don't need more groceries, I'm sure we've stocked up enough food for at least a year," he joked.
"Not grocery shopping!" Matt said. Edd turned around, and Matt motioned towards Tom, who gave a confused smile. "Clothes shopping! It's not like Tom brought a suitcase with him when he fell from space!"
Tom gave a small laugh.
Edd put his hands on his hips. "You do need new clothes. Its not like we can have you wearing the same thing every day. It would smell terrible."
"Yeah," Matt agreed. "Stinky clothes are the worst "
"We also can't just have you wear our clothes. I don't think either of our sizes would fit you," Edd said. "It would all be too large."
Matt and Edd smiled at Tom. Tom gave a weak smile back.
"You don't really need to buy clothes for me. I heard last night that you're already having problems with money," Tom said, looking away.
Edd and Matt exchanged worried looks.
"You heard that?" Matt asked, slightly embarrassed.
"I didn't mean anything by what I said," Edd quickly said. "But we didn't know if you'd want to eventually work or something, and our jobs haven't been doing that well. We can still spare some cash for clothes though."
Tom shook his head. "It's fine, really. I don't need extra clothes."
Matt frowned. "You are getting new clothes. Whether you like it or not!" he insisted.
Tom blushed slightly, and looked down. "Okay."
Matt stood up and grabbed Tom's hand. "Okay! Then its settled! Edd, go get ready. I'll lend Tom some of my clothes for the trip."
Matt pulled Tom out of the kitchen, through the living room, and upstairs to his room. Tom looked around Matt's room with wide eyes.
Whether it was the mirrors and self portraits covering every inch of the walls, or Matt's gigantic closet filled with clothes, it was making Tom nervous. Matt's room intimidated him.
"Why so many mirrors?" Tom asked, as Matt rummaged through his closet.
"Because I'm beautiful," Matt stated. "And when I wake up, the first thing I get to see is the prettiest thing alive."
"You?" Tom asked in confusion.
"But of course!" Matt answered, as he stepped out of his closet carrying a huge heap of clothes. He dumped them on the ground.
"This is the group of clothes that I think will either fit you, or look absolutely astonishing on you. You have a pretty face and pretty eyes. Most of these clothes should compliment your features perfectly."
Tom blushed slightly and looked down at the large pile of clothes.
"You can try them on and pick whatever one you like best," Matt said. "I'm gonna go see what Edd's up to!"
Matt charmingly smiled, and shut his door, leaving Tom alone in the massive room.
Tom looked around. There wasn't much furniture. Just a gigantic, fancy bed with a canopy, and a medium sized, also fancy red sofa, with a hand mirror laying neatly on top of it.
The alien once again looked at the pile of clothes in front of him. Humans were weird.
Or at least, this ginger one was.
Matt walked into the kitchen, but Edd wasn't in there. Matt walked upstairs and into Edd's room. Edd was standing over his dresser, shirtless, going through his clothes.
"Hi Edd!" Matt exclaimed, as he sat down on Edd's bed.
Edd sighed. "I just saw you like five minutes ago. When was the last time we did laundry?"
"Uhm," Matt thought for a minute. "I have no idea."
Edd snickered. "You never have any idea." The brunette turned around holding his "Smeg Head" shirt. Edd's clothes probably wouldn't fit Tom because Edd was slightly chunky. Matt might've been slim, but the ginger was super tall. So Edd's clothes would've been too large on the alien, and Matt's clothes will be too long.
"It's a good thing we're buying clothes for Tom," Edd said. "The diversity in all of our body types is astonishing."
"I know!" Matt said, cheerfully! "If I ever were to become a fashion designer, the three of us would be great models."
Edd chuckled, as he slipped his shirt on. The brunette reached down at the ground and picked up his green hoodie, slipping that on as well.
Edd looked at Matt. "You're already dressed?" he asked. Edd had somehow failed to notice the fact Matt was dressed at breakfast.
"Yeah," Matt said. "Decided I wanted to get dressed early today."
"I'm um...sorry for intruding..." Tom said, as he awkwardly stood in the doorway. He had found a blue hoodie, and some normal jeans that didn't have sequence on the butt pockets.
Matt gasped. "I totally forgot I had that hoodie! Did I really grab it out of the closet? I don't remember grabbing that specifically."
"It was in the pile," Tom said.
Matt hopped off the bed and quickly walked around Tom, looking the small boy up and down.
"Blue is totally your colour!" Matt gushed, as he took a step back. "Right Edd?"
Edd looked at Tom and smiled. "That's right."
"Now that we know what colour makes you look absolutely fabulous, we can have more guidance on what to buy you!" Matt said. "Ooh! I wonder if you look good in all variations of blue? Maybe something like a baby blue shirt and-"
The ginger continued to ramble on about fashion while Edd and Tom grinned.
"He's gonna be like this the entire time," Edd jokingly warned. "And don't expect this to be a short shopping trip."
Tom laughed. "Okay."
