( this is really bad i'm sorry ^^; But yeah, here's chapter three! I hope you guys like it.)

Soon, lunch came to an end, which left Charlie very bitter, not wanting to head back to class. The only one she was really looking forward to was physics, since she felt that it meant she'd get to blow up things.

She headed back to her locker, taking the books she needed for each class, closing it, then trudging along to sit through more lectures and boring discussions. Time in each class felt like forever. Seconds felt like hours, and she hated it.

Finally, after managing to stay awake in each class, it was time for physics, the last class of the day. Her spirits were lifted when she entered the chemistry lab, looking at all the chemicals and beakers, excitement in her eyes. She glanced about the room, looking for a seat.

Oh great, screwdriver boy was in her class. He didn't seem to notice her, he was too engrossed in his weird device in his hand, which seemed to be making strange whirring noises of some sort. It lit up at the end, somewhat like one of those toy wands at the store.

Charlie watched with curiosity, not noticing the other students file in and take their seats. She soon came back to her senses when her teacher tapped her shoulder, telling her to go sit next to Andrew.

"Um, who's Andrew?" She wasn't all too familiar with anyone in this room, besides screwdriver boy, of course. She barely knew anything about him though.

"He's sitting in the back, there's an empty seat right next to him."

So, Andrew was his name. Well, at least she didn't have to refer to him as screwdriver boy all the time, now. She walked over, sitting next to him at the small table.

Andrew didn't acknowledge her, still concentrating and fiddling with the weird wand that lit up. Should she let him know she was here? Well, it wouldn't hurt to try.

She cleared her throat, hoping that'd catch his attention. Fortunately, it did. He looked over at her with slight interest. "Hello."

"Hi Screwdriver Boy," she greeted back. Now that they were this close, she couldn't help but observe him. His hair was all brown and messy. It fit him though, strangely.

"Screwdriver Boy? Is that what you're callin' me now?"

"Not really. Kinda slipped out. Your name's Andrew, right?"

Andrew nodded, offering his hand for a handshake. "Yep. And who are you, then?"

"Charlie, most people here call me Dash, though," she said, taking his hand and shaking it quickly.

"Oh, then you can call me The Doctor."

"Why?"

"Because I fix things, fix people. I fix anything, really."

"So... Doctor? Doctor Who?"

Andrew cracked a grin, lightly laughing and running a hand through his hair. "Oh, I love it when they say that. But anyways, terribly-"

"You two, back there!"

Both looked ahead, their eyes landing on their very annoyed teacher. "Were you two listening?"

Both stayed silent, not daring to make a movement. All eyes in the room were on them, some students smirking and snickering under their breath. If the teacher wasn't looking, Charlie gladly would have shot a glare at those people, making them back off. But unfortunately, their teacher was indeed watching, waiting for their answers.

"Well, you two are partners for today's experiment, then. Both of you figure out for yourselves." After giving them both a look of disapproval, she turned back to the rest of the class, assigning partners.

"Sorry," Charlie said with an apologetic smile and a shrug of her shoulders. "I didn't mean to get you in trouble."

"Nah, it's fine. This teacher's pretty grumpy most of the time anyway, no harm done." Andrew smiled, letting her know that it wasn't her fault. He gazed at her for a brief moment before turning away. "Um, you take notes in this class, right?"

Oh. They were supposed to take notes. She shook her head, smiling sheepishly. "I didn't know we had to. Oops."

He was quite surprised by this information, didn't everyone take notes? Maybe she did better by listening, or maybe by watching others do it themselves. He didn't say anything about it, opening his notebook and handing it to her. "If you want, you could look at my notes for the time being."

She gladly took the notebook, setting it in front of herself and reading through it. "Thanks," she said while skimming through his notes, looking for the information that'd help them in this class period today.

"Hey, Doc?"

"Yeah?"

"Wanna partner up in this class every time we need to?"

Andrew paused, considering her offer. After a moment of thinking, he nodded. "Sure, why not? You're the only person I know in the class anyway."

Charlie nodded, understanding what he meant. "You're the only person I know here too. So... Nice to be having you, partner."

"Nice to be having you too," he replied with a smile.

Well, looks like Screwdriver Boy wasn't as weird and unfriendly as she thought after all.
