"Dash, where's the baking soda?"

No response.

"Dash."

Andrew turns his head, only to find a very amused Charlie throwing wads of paper balls at people, ducking behind the lab bench as they turned around.

"Dash, you could knock something over you know, stop that."

She shook her head, giggling as she shushed him. "Don't ruin it, Doc."

He sighed, rolling his eyes and getting back to work. There was a fair variety of materials in front of them, including vinegar, water, and some other stuff.

Once she was sure she was safe to come back up, she did, looking at the beakers in front of them. "What're we doin' again?"

"You weren't listening?"

"I was! I just... Forgot."

Oh gosh, not this again. He opened his mouth to say something back, soon closing it and shaking his head. "Never mind. I'm going to ask Ms. Allen something. I'll explain it again when I come back. And don't touch anything."

Charlie nodded without protest, which was very odd, especially for her. "Okay."

Andrew looked at her with raised brows, suspicious with her behavior. It was only one day, and already he knew when something was off with her. But he shrugged it off, thinking it was just him being paranoid.

He walked away, approaching their chemistry teacher, who was sitting at her desk and reading magazines.

She didn't notice when he stopped in front of her, so he said, "Ms. Allen?"

He certainly startled her, she ended up flinching and dropping her magazine, soon looking up at him with annoyance. "What?" She snapped, shooting a glare at him.

"Sorry, I was just-"

"Dash did it!"

Andrew whirled around, finding Charlie standing in front of an overflowing beaker that was spilling onto the counter, baking soda in her hand.

Their teacher noticed her too, her face contorting into a scowl. "Miss Dillon, see me after class!"

"But-"

"No buts! You're cleaning up your mess, and cleaning up the rest of the entire classroom!"

Andrew saw her face fall, and that just caused him to feel guilty, even though he didn't do anything.

"Ms. Allen, to be fair, you didn't really give us clear instructions. That's why I came to ask y-"

"Are you questioning my teaching abilities? Well, for that, you're staying after class and helping her clean up too!"

This just angered Charlie, and she slammed down the baking soda container onto the counter, raising her voice. "He was just trying to figure out what we should do, it's not his fault! Why should he be in trouble?"

"That's it, go to Principal Celestia's office right now."

"Fine!" And with that, she stormed out of the classroom, grumbling obscenities under her breath.

Andrew watched her leave, completely in awe at what just happened. Did she really just yell at their teacher for him?

That's something that didn't happen everyday.
