Peyton Meyer the Boyfriend: Take One

Chapter 2

Kristen's POV

The bell finally rang to let me out of what seemed to be an interminable day. I sprinted out the doors to escape the prison called school. I waited for Lexi to come out, then we started walking home.

"I cannot believe that Mr. Watson did that. Jane falls asleep in class almost everyday and he never picks on her! And Peyton was staring at me and totally heard Mr. Watson and probably thinks I'm some dingus who had sleeping problems. Gosh," I ranted to Lexi.

"I know, but I'm sure Peyton didn't even notice!" said Lexi.

"Doubt it," I mumbled back.

We reached Lexi's house and I plopped down on her bed, tossed my arms up and threw by back on her bed and sighed heavily.

"Why? Why does Peyton have to be so perfect?" I questioned.

"Hey, at least your crush acknowledges you exist! Even if it is in an embarrassing way. Michael doesn't even know I live in this world, ugh!" Lexi complained.

"Michael isn't even cute, or nice for that matter," I admitted.

"Well yeah, but he's the best I can do," said Lexi.

"WHAT? Shut up. You're perfect and you could get ANY guy that you wanted! You could do so much better than Michael," I said.

I wasn't lying when I said those things to Lexi. She really is beautiful. She's got shoulder length dark blonde/light brown hair and it's got a pretty wave to it. Her eyes are sparkly blue and her teeth are perfect. She recently got her braces off and she looks gorgeous. She really could do better than that Michael kid. He's some low-life jerk who thinks he's the king of the world so he just bosses everyone around. He plays basketball but he's on the silver team and he's in band and he's not even cute. Lexi can do much better.

"No. Michael's the best I can do, and I can't even get him," sighed Lexi.

"That's not true!" I whined.

"Yes it is!" Lexi said.

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

We finished our homework and I went back to my house. I went to bed and fell asleep dreaming about Peyton.
