I carefully locked my bedroom door. Thankfully, it did not make a sound. I pressed my ear on the door and tried to listen on what their doing.
“They seem to be talking to each other.”
Fifteen minutes passed and they did not even walk.
“They seem to argue. Oh, the lights!...”
I quickly deactivated all of my powers except “Tranquil Mind” the moment the lights turned on. I used “Earth Detect” right after.
“The short guy might have TM related to electricity.”
One of them laughed heartily.
“They thought no one is in this house so they celebrated? Or... maybe they’re dumb not knowing that someone... me... forgot to lock the front door? What should I do now?”
My heartbeat is pounding.
“...Great job, Paul. Bringing you in every house is like a walk in the park...”
“So now, they can speak louder, huh?” I thought.
“...Also you, Bryan. You can bend any metal at will...”
“Alright, Paul has kind of electricity TM and Bryan has metal TM... interesting”, I thought.
“... How do we search now? This place seems empty.”
“Really, Bryan? It is as if someone forgot to lock the front door.”
“That’s funny. Anyway, is this man named Will here?”
“Hmm, maybe. Since this is Eleanor’s residence, he might be hiding here...”
“How on earth did they know my name!?”, I nearly slammed the door. “Oops, oh well, because I won the tournament in spectacular fashion that’s why.”
“Let’s check. And we must not do something atrocious here. It will surely catch attention. Do not ever do that again.”
“I’m sorry, Bryan. I was really agitated so much that I injured Will’s parents.”
“You also kidnapped unnecessary people... Our boss might relieve us from our mission and we won’t get anything.”
“Alright, alright. What shall we do now? Knock on every door of this house or blast all of them?”
BONG!
Bryan hit Paul’s head with a metal pan.
“Ouch! Alright then, let’s just attempt to open. Oh anyway, you can do the honour’s in unlocking every door. I’m just here for backup.”
“Before starting, we must eat. It took us almost three hours just to get here.”
“Alright then.”
I hit my forehead with my palm.
“It seems that they aren’t the violent type”, I thought. “Are they the same ones who ransacked Will’s house?”
“...I heard that Katrina and Castel nearly messed up their mission...”
“Wait... Katrina!?”, I thought. “The one who rejected Will, or they happened to have the same name? I wonder if he knew about that.”
“...Yes. They nearly killed our target’s parents. What a shame.”
“And they also kidnapped an unnecessary person...”
