Chapter 15

Brian's P.O.V.

I'm just arriving to my flat and as I approach my front door, I hear my phone ringing.

"Hello"

'Hello Brian' (sniffling and sobs)

"Freddie is that you?"

'Yes dear. its me.'

As I'm listening to Freddie talk it sounds like he's been crying.

'Oh Brian, I'm so sorry.' 'I should have listened to you about Paul.' (sniffles and sobs)

"Hey, hey Freddie, no babe listen to me, I'm sorry for saying the things I said to you and for acting like such an arse." "You didn't deserve any of that."

'But Brian, you were right about Paul.' 'He's such a fucking jerk and I'm an idiot for listening to him for so long.'

"Freddie, its okay." Calm down babe." "Where are you?"

'I'm at home.' 'Paul just left here and I'm a total mess right now.' 'Can you come over please?'

"Freddie, what did he do to you?"

'I'm alright darling.' 'Can you just get here as soon as you can?'

"Ok, I'm on my way." "I'll be there in less than ten minutes babe."

'Ok, please be careful.'

I grab my keys and literally run out the door to my car and head over to Freddie's flat. If that bastard has laid a hand on Freddie, I swear I'll kill him. I can't get there fast enough. Finally, I arrive at Freddie's house and his front door appears to be open. I then see Freddie come to the door and he quickly runs out towards me and wraps his arms around me.

'OH Brian, I'm terribly sorry love.' (sniffles and sobs)

"Freddie, what happened?" "What did he do to you?" "Look at me babe, try and calm down ok." "I'm here now."

Freddie is still crying uncontrollably and seems really distraught.

"Did he put his hands on you?"

'No Brian, he didn't touch me.' 'But I almost did.' 'I almost knock the living shit out of him!!' 'You were right about Paul.' 'He wanted to replace Deaky with a temporary bass player so we could finish the album a lot sooner. 'Can you believe that arsehole?' 'I'm such a fool for trusting him Brian.' (sniffles and sobs)

"Come Freddie, let's go back inside alright?" "We can talk more about this in private."

We head back inside Freddie's house away from the public eye. Lord knows Paul could be still hanging around somewhere. I just feel bad that Freddie had to witness the true nature of Paul's motives and what that son of a bitch is really capable of.

"Now tell me everything that happened babe."

'Well after I left the hospital, I was so angry with you for the things you were saying about Paul. So I thought to myself well let me call him and invite him over to find out why you all hate him so much. I was getting tired of you and Roger and John, complaining about the way he is or how he's been managing us. I don't know, I just wanted some answers Brian. 'When he finally came to my house, the conversation was going fine at first, but then he suggested the ludicrous idea of replacing Deacy and that's when I lost it.' 'The bloody bastard didn't even consider how Deacy would feel after what just happened to him.' 'We got into a heated argument over it and that's when I told him to get the fuck out my house!!' 'God, I'm so fucking stupid Brian.' (sniffles and sobs).

"Ok ok, that's enough babe. Don't beat yourself up over that trash. He's not worth it. I'm just glad you found out now before it was too late."

'What do you mean dear?' 'Before its too late?'

"All I'm saying is that he could have caused more damage in the future. I believe him and John Reid have been taking advantage of us for their own personal gain. They really screwed us with our current contract Freddie. I'm hoping that we can get out of it somehow."

"Well Brian me too because I fucking fired him and when I get back in the office, I want you to be with me so we can officially get rid of John Reid too!! I want Miami to manage us from now on."

"Miami?"

'Yes, Miami is what I'm calling him dear.'

As I'm listening to Freddie, I'm scratching my head as to who he is referring to.

"Try again babe." "Who are you talking about?"

'Oh dear, I'm talking about Jim Beach darling.'

"But he's our lawyer."

'I know darling, he will be perfect for the job.' 'Besides I don't feel like going through the trouble of finding someone else, not while we're in the middle of an album release dear.' 'And with everything that's happened to Deaky, we can't afford to hire anyone else right now.' 'I hope that makes sense.'

"That's only if he agrees to do it Freddie."

'Oh don't worry, I'll talk to him.' 'I'm sure it won't be a problem.' 'Besides, he's the only one we can trust right now.'

"Alright fine, first thing Monday morning, we'll approach him with the idea." "I'm sure he'll be thrilled at the possibilities. (sarcasm)

Freddie seems to be coming around now, he even chuckled at my little joke.

"How do you feel now babe?"

'I still feel terrible darling.' 'I really trusted Paul and for him to turn his back on me the way he did, I'm not sure I'll get over this.' (sniffles and sobs).' 'I actually believed everything he told me' 'And Brian, I'm sorry I hit you today.' 'Will you forgive me dear?'

"Are you kidding, of course babe." "I love you." "I knew you were just upset with me for stirring you up about Paul and frankly I deserved that slap." "I had no right saying what I said to you." "Now do you forgive me babe?"

'Yes of course darling.' 

"You don't know how much I missed you babe." "While I was at that the hospital after you left I felt my heart breaking." "I was conspiring with Roger on ways to win you back if you can believe that." "The thought of losing you forever is a thought that I couldn't bare Freddie." "I absolutely hated seeing you hurt and so angry with me." "I hope I never have to witness that again babe."

As I'm pouring my heart out to Freddie, tears are streaming down his face and he bows his head. I slowly lift his head up and wipe away his tears then I embrace him for a long comforting hug and deep kiss.

"Freddie, look at me babe." "I love you so much." "I am madly in love with you."

I continue holding him and rocking him back in forth in my arms, but then I feel him trembling. I step back and I can still see sadness and more tears in his eyes.

"Freddie, didn't you just hear what I said?"

'Yes darling, I heard you.' 'I'm just so scared Brian.' 'Im not sure what Paul is going to do now.' I've been bank rolling that bastard for a while now and now that's it's over.' (sniffles and sobs) 'I just don't know Brian.'

"Ok I know babe, what Paul said and tried to do really hurt you, but rest assure I won't let him hurt you anymore Ok?" You got me and Roger and John here to protect you." "We are your true friends and we love you Freddie." "You can always trust us no matter what." "Don't ever doubt that ok?" "I'll see him dead  before I let him do anything to you." "You have to believe me Freddie ."

'I believe you darling .' 'And I love you too, more than you know.'

"Babe, can I show you how much I love you?"

'Yes please'
