Chapter 1

"Alberto! Alberto! Wake up" I heard my sibling screaming right before I felt them land on me, the weight of two seven years old landing on me. Groaning I looked at Gabriel and Daniella "what do you brats want!", they simple smiled at me before pointing speaking in union "we woke up early, and you don't have school to leave for school for a whole hour play with us!" I looked at the pair of green (Gabriel) and blue eyes (Daniella) staring at me, looking at the clock I noticed it was five am meaning I had two hours tell school and was missing out on another 30 minutes of sleep. Sighing to myself I pushed the two off and sat up looking at them, "fine let me get dressed and ready for school" seeing their reaction might have been worth the lack of sleep, as they started giggling and running out my room. Rinsing my face, I stared at my face, my bronze skin didn't really fit within Northern Maine, but it where the army decided to place my dad near the border of Canada. Stopping to look myself in the eyes my right eyes was the color of a forest green just like Gabriel, but my left was a dark russet brown, looking at my hair I noticed it needed a bit of a trim, jet black hair hung slightly above my eyes.

After insuring I was fully presentable I headed to the living room to see my sibling already outside in the snow, building a snowman, jogging I quickly snatch up some snow and throw some at Gabriel smacking him squire in the chest. Causing both to grab their own handfuls throwing it at me, if I was honest it would have been easy to win against them, but I took the hits. The twins seemed happy with themselves as they "won" against their big brother. That was tell my alarm went off, which meant play times was over "O come on Alberto a bit more please!" Danelle pouted at me, "Sorry sis, its time to go inside and eat before heading to school." Looking up to see dad Daniel looking at us smiling, while my step mother Veronica looking amused at us. "Mis hijos, it's a bit cold to be playing this early! Come in so I can make you breakfast." Veronica said with a heavy Spanish accent, she married my dad 9 years ago then had the twin 8 years ago. She had tan skin, with long black curly that fail around her waist, the most contrasting thing was that she had a light brown eye that always seemed full of loved when she looked at us. Dad stood next to her, she only came up to his chest since he's six two he had stern but kind green eyes, slightly darker than me his eyes are green. He looked at Veronica before speaking in Spanish "My love let the children play, while we make them breakfast!" She gave him a look before throwing her hands up laughing, dad shot me a look giving me a wink. We played for a bit more before hearing the food was finished

After eating breakfast, I grabbed our backpacks "Dad I'll give Gab and Daniella a ride to school." He gave me a wave of thanks, while driving them to school I put on Disney Mix, causing Daniella to start singing much to Gabriel horror and my amusement, dropping them off Daniella kept singing as Gab ran off with his friend. Driving off after they made it inside, I got to school with time to spare. I looked around and while it was about -20 outside I didn't really feel the cold, still I throw a jacket on so Veronica wouldn't complain if she found out. I instantly noticed Jax, and his gang of followers harassing someone. Approaching I already knew who it was, "You know Jax they say that homophobia is just not accepting your own sexuality! Do you pick on me because you find me beautiful?" Christino said looking Jax dead in the eyes. The problem was would be that Jax is a 6'2 200 solid muscle 18-year-old, Defensive Tackle and Christino is a 17-year-old 160 boxer 5'9 boxer. Of course, his group stayed in the back as for some reason only Jax was really allowed to mess with Christino, "Your pretty mouth is going to get busted if you don't help me with this essay!" Christino for his part just smiled when he saw me walking up, "O come on Jax all you got to do is ask nicely!" he gentle put his hand on Jax chest and if it wasn't for the fact it's so cold I might of thought Jax was blushing.

"Jax back off my cousin." It was a bit amusing to watch his goons jump, at the sound of my voice. Jax simple turned and glared at me, Christino for his part just used sign language to tell me to be gentle with his lover, causing what I was sure is an obvious eye roll. "So, do you want to handle this the normal way or are we leaving peacefully today?" Jax ice blue eyes just stared at me, with anger before turning back to Christino "Be at my house around five P.M. got it?" Christino just smiled before watching Jax walk stomped off.

"Does this have to happen every Monday?" I looked at Christino as he just smiled smugly, "come on cousin it's fun to pick on the preacher's son, we are the modern Romeo and Juliet or as I prefer Julius, though I'm defiantly the Romeo don't you think?" I couldn't help but to laugh at that, since Christino is very much gay he's watch they call "straight passing" and it not tell he opens his mouth and starts flirting with a guy that you'll know he's gay. The bell rang then, so me and Christino went our ways to class. School went by quickly tell lunch started off, going to my groups table I saw Anthony making out with Erica, while Josh and Nathan debated something. "Hey guys how were your weekends?" Josh looked up "Nathan and I played Magic all weekend trying out our new cards" Anthony and Erica stopped making out long enough to tell me what they did when we heard a scream.

Hearing the scream, I ran toward the sound, there was a girl screaming as two large grey wolves had Jax and Chrisno cornered, majority of the other students started to run away while the wolves advanced on the two. I could feel the blood start rushing in my ears, one of the wolves looked ready to pounce but rushing forward I tackled it, the other though jumped at Jax who quickly side stepped and punched the beast. I had the wolf I was fighting in a lock thank to my years of wrestling, but even then, it was thrashing around a lot making it difficult to hold down. Jax on the other hand was able to stay in the way of Chrisno while the wolf lunged at him, what I didn't expect was for the wolf to throw me off it and into a wall knocking the air out my lounges briefly. The wolf rolled onto its feet and looked at me, its growls as it glowing yellow eyes stared at me advance, I heard a yell of anger and pain as the other wolf bite into Jax arm. I could see the blood in the snow as it looked like an ice cone, Chrisno was trying to hit the wolf to get it to let go of Jax but as that happen you could hear a sickening crunch as bone broke, Jax screaming out in pain.

We then heard a gun shot sound of barely missing the wolf as it seemed to perceive the bullet and jump off Jax, the two wolves ran off as I rushed to Jax. Who was holding his arm while some blood poured out, I looked at the wolves as them seemed to briefly stop, for a moment I could of sworn I heard "two sons of the Aesir's let the hunt begin."
