Secret (1969)

Chapter 7

Last night I got to sleep without waiting for Lily. So many things have happened to me, that have never happened in my whole life.

In the morning, when I wake up, Lily is lying next to me, hugging me. I get her arms off of me carefully and sit up, when I look back, I see her rubbing her eyes. 

"Where did you disappear yesterday?" She says, yawning. At the begining I think about telling her everything but then decide to shut up.

"I just got tired and went home." I make up a lie and get dressed. 

"Liam will come today and let's go somewhere, okay?"

"I'm not going to go anywhere, today. I have a school tomorrow and must get ready." I run downstairs through the kitchen and make a breakfast for us. While having breakfast, we got a letter from post. "I'll get it." I say and go to see envelope at the door. I take and open it. "It's from auntie, she's letting us to know, that they won't be able to come until the school starts and here is some money for us."

"Okay." 

When Liam takes Lily, I go upstairs to read books, I'm going to study with. I think it won't be difficult. I lay down and start thinking about mom and sister, that makes me smile. I miss them so much, especially mom's eyes with warm look into them. She had so beautiful eyes. Me and Scarlet got blue eyes from her, but when I realize that two of them have slept forever, I feel really bad. Tears stream down my face, it's so difficult to live without them. It's so difficult to live alone. 

I stand up and look at the reflection of me in the mirror, to see themselves in me. We looked like each other a lot. Oh god, I miss them so so much. I miss that time when we all had a great time together. I miss dad, too. 

I wipe the tears off and go to sleep. When I wake up, I see Lily in the room.

"Oh." I rub my eyes and smile at her.

"Good morning." She says with laugh. It's dark outside and I laugh too, then she jumps on the bed and hugs me.

"I'm the happiest person ever!" She whispers and I feel her heartbeat getting fast.

"I'm happy for you." I smile at her warmly.

"I want you to find someone good for you and then me, Liam, you and your boyfriend will hang out together."

"Don't forget about Liam's friends." I sigh after remembering them.

When I wake up in the morning, I put on the school uniform which I like so much and then wake up Lily. After getting ready, we rush downstairs and go to school without eating a breakfast. 

When we get close to the school I see building, built by bricks. Students are blending into each other, some of them are sharing meet and greets and also smiling at Lily. 

We head on the way to our classroom, when somebody rushes out from the cabinet of the head mistress. Zayn. Wait, Zayn is a student? I thought he would greet me after yesterday incident, but goes like he doesn't even know me. I'm sure the pebble is more worth for him, than me. 

I sigh and continue walking confused. I see how girls stare at Zayn and whisper something in each other's ears, when he passes. His appearance, tattoos, the way he walks and confidence in his gaze always is in the centre of attention. 

"What is our first lesson?" Lily asks me. 

"Hm.. Literature." I tell her and she nods.

We greet the whole class, as we enter the classroom, they greet us back and we sit at the last desk.
