Chapter 30: DAY 4

Alyah Zynneth Cortez (POV)

"Ms. Cortez. Ms. Cortez."

I opened my very heavy eyes and tried to look at whose voice calls my name. But I just can't. I think my eyes are too sore to open up. I stayed up all night crying, thinking about my wasted relationship with Tripp. I can't even imagine myself living without him, but for the sake of others I have to. I have to move on and think of my family company's future.

"Ms. Cortez, please wake up. Here are your clothes for today. I thought you might be needing one."

With my eyes closed, I nodded in response. I heard the door close and again open. I was still in my dreamland when someone banged the door shut and shouted my name.

"ZYNNETH!!!"

They all said in chorus. Ugh. My loud friends. They're here. Anikka, Dans, Carmela and of course Kuya Ivan. They all sat down at my oh so beautiful pink and black sofa.

I tried very hard to stand up and fix my hair. I opened my sore eyes and they all laughed. What?! Is there something wrong with my face? And with my curiousity, I looked at the mirror and I almost scream when I saw my reflection!

I look like a boxer who just got out of a fight. My eyelids are puffed out and I look like a Chinese. Sobrang singkit ng mga mata ko. If I am not me, I would've thought that that person infornt of me is not me.

"My gosh! Cous! What's with those sore eyes?" Daniella asked

"Zy! What happened?" Anikka rushed to me and she checked my eyes

"I cried all night." I said coldly and they stopped laughing

"Spill the beans. What happened? Sinaktan ka ba niya ulit? Did he make you cry?!" Kuya Ivan asked

"No. It's my fault. You see for two days already, he's courting me back. But yesterday during breakfast my Mom suddenly announced that I am getting married. Napag-isip isip ko na balikan na ulit si Tripp, pero dahil--" I stopped. Nag-uunahan na yung mga luha ko sa pag tulo.

"Tuloy mo. We'll listen." Carmela said

"Pero dahil sa sinabi ni Mom nasigawan ko si Tripp kahapon. I said that I am getting married and that he should stay away from me. Pero akala ko ipaglalaban niya ako. Ang sabi niya, sige daw. Yun naman daw yung gusto ko, ang lumayo siya. Then he left me here alone without turning his back."

I cried and they just caressed my back and try to calm me down. Nung kumalma na ako, pinainom nila ako ng tubig tapos pinaghilamos nila ako para daw umimpis ng konti yung maga nung mata ko. Pagkatapos ko ayusin yung sarili ko they gave me their advice.

"Zynneth, you know... In love, you can be happy, you can be hurt. Its either of the two. Kahit alin pwede mauna at bawat isa ay nagbabayaran. You shared a happy relationship with him right? So utang mo yun kaya ngayon you're experiencing the pain. Pero happiness will repay it again you just have to decide what to do para maging masaya kaya. Again you have two options. To move on or to fight for your love." Carmela said

All of us were shocked of what Carmela said. We never expected her to be like that. Hindi pa nga siya naiinlove or nagkakaboyfriend eh. Pero after laughing we all nodded and they all smiled at me. I felt really happy having these friends beside me.

"Yeah.. I think you should decide before its too late. Pero pag-isipan mo muna Zynneth. Love is a gamble, you can win you can lose. That's why you have to think carefully." Anikka said

"Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Niyakap ko sila isa isa tapos nagpaalam na. I need to do my work. I have to finish all this papers. Argh... I can't wait for the time na maibigay ko na kay Alex yung company. I can't wait for the time na yung shop na lang yung poproblemahin ko.

Tripp Marco Palma (POV)

I still have 4 days. I will not stop until then. I am not planning to agree to what my father said pero I think I have to see the girl myself.

Nandito ako ngayon sa shop nila ni Daniella. I am waiting for her cousin while drinking cappuccino coffee. I sent her flowers today. I have and always will until the 8th day.

"Tripp! It's good to see you here!"

"Daniella."

"So what can I do for you? Wala dito si Zynneth, nasa office niya."

"Ah ganun ba? Sige okay lang. Ikaw talaga pinunta ko dito."

"Oh? Really? Bakit?"

"I need your help. Hindi kasi ako pwedeng magpunta kay Zy kasi ayaw niya akong makita so I am just sending her flowers."

"So? What help can I give you then?"

"Please. Take care of her. Habang wala ako."

"Alam mo Tripp, isa ka pa. Ang tanga tanga mo! Yung pinsan ko nagkwento sakin kanina, mugtong mugto yung naga niya kasi umiyak siya ng umiyak kagabi. Nagsisisi daw siya sa sinabi niya sayo kahapon. I think you should see her. Fight lang!"

"Pero ayaw nga niya ako makita. Itataboy niya lang ako palayo."

"Takot ka masaktan kapag tinaboy ka niya? Yan ba ang tinatawag mong love? Diba dapat ang love is taking risks. Kapag nagmahal ka dapat handa kang masaktan!"

"Pero--"

"No BUTS! Puntahan mo siya kung gusto mo pang maisalba yung relasyon niyo. Go!!!"

"Pero Daniella! Ikakasal na ako!"

"WHAT?!"

Napatayo siya at napahampas sa table na kinalalagyan namin kaya yung mga tao sa shop napatingin. She mouthed sorry to everyone and did a peace sign at tsaka naupo ulit.

"What?" she whispered

"Yes. We're both getting married to two different people. Kaya I am keeping myself away from her. I can't do anything about my marriage. Ayokong masaktan siya."

"You know what Tripp. Ang bobo niyo! Kung mahal niyo talaga ang isa't isa kakayanin niyong ipaglaban! Kainis! Naiistress na ako sa lovestory niyo. Ang tanga niyo parehas!"

"But--" I tried to say

"I said no buts Tripp. Fight or lose it. It's your choice. Hindi naman ako ang mawawalan."

Dirediretso siyang tumayo at pumasok na ulit sa opisina habang naiwan ako ditong nakatunganga. I still don't know what to do...
