".̷.̵.̷H̶a̶l̸f̶ ̷i̷f̸ ̴a̴ ̷w̶h̵o̵l̴e̷.̴" Kiwi finished. Everyone seemed confused when she said this, the crowd frozen.
She sighed, looking around the once narrow street. It looked as though it used to be a one lane area, with a single damaged sidewalk to the left.
"Kiwi!" Cried Soviet. He ran to her, leaving whatever they were doing behind.
"Stop scaring me like that..." He finished, pulling her into a hug. Kiwi sighed. This wasn't going to be that easy, was it?
"D̵i̴d̵.̷.̶.̷ ̴D̸i̸d̴ ̵y̸o̵u̸ ̷k̴n̵o̵w̸ ̴t̸h̴e̴ ̸r̴e̵d̸ ̵f̷l̷o̸w̶e̸r̶ ̷I̷ ̴h̷a̵v̷e̵ ̸i̷n̵ ̵m̴y̷ ̸e̵y̸e̸ ̸b̷l̸o̸o̵m̴s̷ ̶a̴t̴ ̶e̴x̴a̶c̸t̸l̵y̴ ̶t̶h̸e̷ ̴b̸e̶g̷i̷n̸n̷i̵n̸g̴ ̵o̷f̸ ̷s̷p̵r̸i̵n̴g̸?̸" She stated, quiet.
"Why do I need to know this? He asked, slowly giving Kiwi her own space.
"O̷h̶.̶.̸ ̸j̷.̴.̷ ̶j̸u̴s̵t̷ ̴a̷ ̸f̷a̴c̶t̷ ̴I̶ ̶f̵o̷u̶n̶d̴ ̶o̸u̴t̷.̴" She stuttered. Nope. This wasn't going to be easy at all.
Soviet nodded, looking back to the crowd. He walked over there, leaving Kiwi standing there.
"Where were we?" He asked, as if nothing ever happened.
"Your signature?" Third Reich replied.
"Right." He picked up the pen, reading what was written on the sheet of paper once more.
"W̶h̸a̵t̷'̴s̷ ̵t̷h̴i̴s̵ ̶f̵o̸r̸?̶" Asked Kiwi. Everyone turned their head to her, as if she was stupid or something.
"It's a treaty, Kiwi." Soviet replied, a slight smile across his face.
She nodded, happy this whole goddamn war was finally over.
After a moment of silence, Soviet straightened up, clearly showing he'd written his signature.
"Sorry about his, Soviet. But Kiwi already knows too much. And, the treaty has been signed. You can't fight back." Third said, pulling his gun to Kiwi's forehead.
He shot the gun, the bullet going right through her head.
"A̷g̴a̶i̸n̷?̵ ̴S̷e̸r̶i̷o̶u̷s̷l̶y̴?̵ ̵Y̷o̸u̷ ̷k̵n̸o̶w̷,̷ ̷t̴h̵a̸t̶'̶s̷ ̸t̷h̴e̸ ̴t̴h̵i̷r̴d̴ ̴t̶i̸m̶e̵ ̵g̵e̶t̴t̸i̵n̵g̶ ̶s̸h̶o̶t̴.̵" She said, simply brushing off some of the blood.
"A̶h̵,̸ ̷g̵e̸e̸z̷,̵ ̷I̶ ̴l̵i̸k̴e̵d̵ ̷t̵h̸a̸t̵ ̵s̶c̴a̴r̶f̶.̷" She muttered to herself, looking at the blood drip down onto the dark grey scarf.
Soviet got into an argument with Third, something along the lines of prison.
"J̴e̶s̷u̶s̶,̵ ̷s̷t̸o̷p̶ ̴o̸v̸e̴r̵r̴e̷a̵c̴t̴i̴n̷g̵.̶" Kiwi accidently said aloud.
They all looked to her, gear in their eyes. What? Why?
Oh, hang on. She'd just been shot through the forehead and she didn't even react to it.
"Kiwi.. how exactly are you still.." Soviet couldn't finish, letting go of Third's arm.
"Y̴e̸a̷h̷.̴ ̴A̵b̶o̷u̵t̴ ̶t̴h̴a̷t̴.̵" She looked up. It was getting late. She opened her phone, triggering America.
"ExplaIn!" He yelled.
"I̵t̸'̵s̸.̴.̸ ̵c̴o̴m̸p̵l̸i̷c̵a̵t̴e̷d̸.̵" She said, calmly.
11:52pm.
"A̵l̴r̴i̷g̴h̶t̵,̶ ̸f̴i̶l̷l̸ ̸i̵n̶ ̶m̷y̷ ̶t̶i̷m̴e̸ ̷f̸o̵r̷ ̴e̵i̵g̵h̸t̷ ̴m̶i̸n̴u̴t̶e̸s̷.̴" Kiwi said, putting her phone away with her mangled hands. Soviet grabbed Third's wrist again, Poland appearing the of the crowd and trying to pull them apart.
"Can you two please stop-""He almost killed Kiwi! Three times-""It was for good!""Shut up, idiot!"
That went on for awhile. It's just... Kiwi couldn't stand it.
"S̸h̴u̵t̴ ̴u̴p̷!̶" She shouted herself. Everything went quiet, as though she was the only person that they would listen to.
Kiwi looked up, everyone just staring at her. What was with this day?
"Kiwi.. are you.. ok?" Soviet asked quietly. She touched her face, only to feel warm tears. Heh. She was crying. Why?
"Y̸e̴a̷h̴,̴ ̸I̶'̶m̴ ̵f̸i̸n̸e̷.̶" She said, wiping the tears away.
Soviet shook his head, nearing Kiwi yet again. He touched her forehead, where she was just shot.
"How?" He asked, his eyes narrowed.
Kiwi shrugged, looking to the floor. But she noticed something.
A blood red steam began to rise, creeping up her legs and arms, until it covered her whole body.
Soviet jerked back, his once narrow eyes as wide as they could be.
"Y̵e̶a̵h̷.̸.̶.̵ ̷t̷h̶a̸t̷'̴s̴ ̷r̴i̸g̶ht... half of what I was..."An hour ago...
Soviet walked down the street with people who trusted him. He trusted them back, even though they cowered behind him.
He knew what he had to do.
Ever since her death, he knew he had to put things right. The way Kiwi wanted them to be.
Third Reich soon appeared in the fog on the opposing side of Soviet, with people of his own. Including Poland.
"Where is it? I don't have much time." Third said, wariness mixed in with his tone. Soviet didn't need to know what was going on. Unless it was to do with him.
"I have it. Right here." He replied, drawing a piece of paper out of his waistcoat.
It was a treaty.
Third neared, reading it over and over again. It just said things about the whole 'stop the war' stuff; things he didn't care about all that much. He only wanted to be with Poland, and that's what mattered at the moment.
He looked over to Soviet, nodding.
Third just noticed Soviet had bags under his eyes, worn out with all that happened recently. Like writing the treaty with a few other people, trying to manage everyone in his army, and even Kiwi's death.
Third didn't think Soviet realised that Kiwi was probably going to come back. She always did. Well, she did after he shoot her in the eye and burnt the forest she was in down. Somehow she still goddamn live.
Actually, Third felt kind of sorry for Soviet. He killed Kiwi so that... wait, why did he kill her? She helped him and didn't dout him for a second. Yeah, sure, she was scared of him, but that didn't explain it.
Well, if Kiwi came back, he needed to just.. finish.. it. He couldn't stand being around her anymore.
He turned to back to the people who followed him there, reciting the new rules they had in place. Poland smiled, happy he was doing something about it.
Well, who said Third wouldn't break the rules for Poland? Or for his sake?
Soviet took the treaty off of Third, reading it aloud to the people on his own side. They all listened, buried in the new information.
After he finished, he turned back to Third, staring at him right in the eyes. Soviet nodded himself.
They both shook hands, breaking apart when the crowds began to merge together.
A few of the people looked at the treaty, just to make sure they were all safe. That they didn't need to feel scared anymore.
Soviet smiled to this. Maybe Kiwi did actually have the right idea? She bought together several families, eased people's nerves, and stopped countless deaths.
She traded her life for people who didn't even know or care about her to be safe. Happy. And Soviet knew he would never forget her.
Never.
Third turned to Soviet, striking up a conversation. Well...That was until they heard someone coming. Singing, even.
