She came by, walking through the clean, dark green grass. The blue sky wrapped around her, the sun as spotlight, her shining halo, her magical eyes... her beautiful, pure smile. I see her through the class window and wish I was there by here right now. She laughs with her new and old friends. She's such a light in this world. I hope she'll know how much she means to me. I know one day real soon, I'll be able to tell her just how I feel, and tell her just how I see her, and help her see herself the way I do. I'll be patient, I'll never love anyone the way I love You, Leah June.
~
Spring is coming round the corner and the days are becoming longer.
Landon dreams of Leah every night, helping her, seeing her brightness, wishing for her hand in marriage, family and growing old with her, everything.
Landon journals every day now, ever since Leah came back to her home.
He journals now more than ever.
He doesn't want to forget the way he feels, so that one day he'll be able to send his love through his words when he's away, whenever that may be. He doesn't want her to forget how much she is loved even by a man who she knows not, or does she know?
Leah feels she can't be that bright, or that pretty, or that... angelic.. to anyone. She has flaws, she has imperfections, but needs a person who can see past that. She wants a person who can see what she sees, she sees the beauty of the universe in everyone's eyes. And Landon can see the universe in Leah's beautiful eyes.~
One moment after another, she twirls her hair, braids her long bangs, and pulls back her blonde hair in a lime green band. She picks at her freshly done fake-nails, awaiting to take them off. Slips into her purple dress and and fixes her eyes with very little eyeliner, readying herself for a ball. No, just an adult party with friends, tonight.
She breathes in, out, in, looking through the long mirror in a plain corner of her dorm room, she sighs.
"Hm. I don't know about it."
She slides her left hand on her hip, moving herself in different angles, deciding whether or not the party's worth it.
"Gah! I don't know anything. I know nothing. I can't even picture myself there. People, more people, I don't know. Should I go. No. Maybe?"
"You always were indecisive, Laylay."
Leah twists around, "Josa!" She ran to her best friend to hug her.
"Oh I've missed you so much! I have so much to share, tell, laugh about, you have no idea how hectic the last years have been away from home, from you, for goodness sakes my parents." Josa shrieked with excitement.
"And me too, I've missed my family too. I've missed you most though!!"
Leah and Josa hugged tightly, "whatch you think?" She laughed and smiled.
Josa's eyes gleamed, "I say you're gorgeous in everything! and this color, with ocean blue bracelets and earrings, brown boots not heels, that'd make it complete. I love it."
"You always were good at styling," Leah padded her sides, and twirled, her ponytail whipping through the air. "Apparently not good enough, I wasn't accepted into that job I always dreamt of. I think of it as a blessing to be honest because I got a different job. I'm hoping to become an anthropoligist." Josa smiled, tilting her head, her parted black hair came down to her hip on one side, bangs burrying her chocolate eyes. She had a unique, petite face, beautiful and a white smile, light hazelnut brown skin shone through her dark-laced sleeve dress.
"Wow, anthropology?"
"Yes! The study of cultures, language and of societies, people, all different places of the world. It's pretty neat."
Josa examined the world outside the small window of the left side of the small room, "a beautiful campus here huh? And this closet you can barely fit all your clothes in is spectacular.."
Leah looks around, shrugs,
"it's alright, it'll have to do for a couple years."
Leah searches through small, unopened boxes. Finally!- the jewelry she's desired for a week. "Ocean blue jewelry eh?" Leah laughs a little, "I don't think I have a blue bracelet. Will this black and gold bracelet do?" She smiles to Josa.
"Its even better!"~
Dancing up and down the stairs, confused about where the stapler went. "Hey sis?!"
"Yap!" Landon's sister responded across the house.
"Where's the stapler?"
Shuffling through his desk, "where'd you leave it?"
Jan came in with a toothbrush hanging from her mouth. Bubbling, "one sec."
She came back, "I threw it away."
"Oh. It broke?"
"No it was old and ugly, you should've got a new one a long time ago."
Landon looked down, confused with his sister. "Okay. You know, clearly we're the opposites 'cause I don't understand you that often."
Jan shrugs off down the stairs, ready to dive into the fridge.
"Man, am I starving!
Landon skips down after her, "you just had a whole pizza an hour ago, how are you still hungry?"
His sister belches, "Whoo! Nice."
"'scuse you."
"Nope."
Landon chuckled, shaking his head as he packed his back pack.
"Hey, heard of a party tonight, you going?"
He looked up at Jan a moment, and looked away, thinking....
"Nah..-"
"Leah might be there."
"Huh? Really?"
Jan smiled, chugging the last of the milk.
"Oh and while you're out," she tossed the jug, and quickly texted the party address to Landon, "buy more milk and ice cream, will ya?.."
A cat meowed out doors, "feed Missie kay? Going out, Love you."
"You too bro, have fun!..."
They both laughed as he shut the front door behind him.*
Maybe Leah will be at the party..
Landon wondered..
"I'd better go clothes shopping," Landon sighed with a smile.
