Coming back and forth from one point to another, loving every star and every speck of dust. I climb the walls of the universe. The colors, darkness and light. Reach for me, or I'll be swallowed by the deepest sands of all the worlds. Gasping for air, I sink deeper and deeper. Help me! or I'm gone forever.
Don't worry about me if you are sinking too. Save yourself, I'll try to as well. We shall try together.Desperate for unshakeable grounds, we seek the openness of the world enabled to breathe once again.
Landon looked around for a girl he dreamt of. He wondered if she'd see him at all tonight.
He fixed his purple bowtie, his favorite color, stood a moment in the mirror in the restrooms, "Kay." I'm ready, he thought.
He loves to hangout with his family, but strangers not so much. People that Leah knows, he will know them too. He gazed the large golden room for a tall blonde beauty, everyone wearing black and white with yellow ties and black headbands, "I wasn't told about this bee-color theme. Tsk."
Feeling a chilly breeze behind himseld, and turns around. Two young woman walk side by side, arms linked, one beautiful wearing black and the other stunning, wearing a lavender, dark purple trimmed dress, hesitant eyes and nervously tense.
"There she is..."

Tugging her dress down, "it keeps coming up!"
"Leah, you're so fidgety, and the most modest human being I've ever met, stop it!" Josa giggles.
"Hmm, okay."
Josa, "Maybe you'll meet somebody!.." she nudges Leah in the arm.
"Right... I'd like that, but I have too much school to think about it really." Leah looking down pinching off lint from her shawl clumped in her hands.
"I mean, I'm still so young I have so much time to look for somebody, meet up with them everyday after work, go to all the museums in town... picnics at the park...."
"Ayy, you're daydreaming about it all already! You so want someone." Josa smiled wide, then hugging Leah. "I have a feeling there's going to be someone there for you. First man you see there, go talk to him! I dare ya."
"Josa, we're not 11 anymore...and I've told you more than twice...I don't do dares.."
"Pff, I'll always be young at heart. And you won't have to, I love you but I'm gonna leave you mingling sometimes tonight. I need my people, girl!"
"I know. That's alright." She laughs with another hug from Josa."We're here!" Josa excitedly says
The two girls pass by pillars of white, the bright lights glisten through the windows cast onto the pavement. Balloons of silver, gold and black.
"Eh, not the best choice of colors but music is music plus a dance floor! Right on!" Josa pulls Leah to move up faster to the large Narnian wooden door. "Just what we're here for girl, to dance, mingle, drinks!"
"Yeah you enjoy those drinks..."
"Yes I will." Josa winks at Leah and they link arms, they pass through the door. A gust of wind blows through the party, cooling down the warm air inside. A boy down the hall entrance turns his head, his welcoming warm eyes meet with Leahs. He smiles.
Leah and Josa stop before him, Leah looks around and then at Josa as she leaves her arms gently to go mingle with the crowd. Leah looks down..
"Hi. I'm Landon."
Leah looks up seeing the young mans eyes, his face is younger than those around like Leah. She smiles, "Hi..."
Landon and Leah gaze into each other, he chuckles lightly, "..oh...um I'm Leah.""Nice to meet you Leah." His lips move gently, his voice low and soft, his breath warm.
"Do you...dance?" Leah shrugged her shoulders, looking to the dance floor.
"Would you like to dance?" Landon smiled facing the crowd, "You don't have to be pressured into any dancing you know."
"Yeah. I'm not really a dancer. Haven't practiced since I was like 12."
Landons eyebrow raised, "Oh really? I bet you'd be a pro to me."
Leah smiled again, her eyes twinkle in the golden rays of the party lights. Landon looks to her, his smile fades into whispering words, "Want to go on an adventure?"
"You're not going to kidnap me are you?"
Landon looks to her again, "uh... no I--"
"I'm kidding. Where to?"
He smiles in relief, she giggles under her breath.
A small moment of awkwardness arises and quickly fades as the two kids move away from the party..."Hey girl! Where ya going?" Josa dances to Leah and the new guy she met. "Landon here, my new best friend is going to take me on an adventure." Leah smirks at Josa, chin up like she had been unfriended, kiddingly, "ya know, since you left me for a new pack of school nerds."
"Leah, you're one of those nerds, and always my BFF."
"I was kidding. Okay? Landon let's go. I have been forgotten. Hmph!" Leah walks off smiling and giggling.
Landon looks to Josa eyebrows raised, and waves bye, catching up to Leah."How do you know each other?"
"Oh, Josa? Yeah forever, I dunno. She's always been there, we kinda grew up together. She was always my...older sister in a way you know. Without her, I don't know where I'd be. She'd probably say the same about me but... I really would be...alone without her."
Leah and Landon slowly stop walking. Her head bobs down, then up. She sighs, "Maybe forever gone." her eyes flicker to the corners and then to Landon, back down to her boots.
"Sorry, I don't mean to be like that..-"
"No you're all good, I have an older sister too. She's my best friend and I wouldn't be where I am without her either."
"Yeah. What's her name?"
"Elijana, but we call her Jan."
"That's a beautiful name."
"She's amazing."
Leah smiles, her pink lips curl upward, showing her white shifted teeth.Imperfectly perfect. Landon thinks to himself.
