I stared at the ceiling in my bedroom. It had been last night that I'd had the dream. My mind spun, everything seemingly wrong. I didn't know what I had expected them to do after I left... I was certain they wouldn't finish the quest, though. I had no idea where they were going, or what they were after. Where was Kyle taking them? What was their plan?

As much as I had wanted to go on that quest, in those moments I felt no urge to rush after them. I wanted to prove I was right. It was like the times when I was little and I'd storm off, knowing I was wrong, and staying away so that it seemed like I won.

I stayed home, and got a job at the ice cream store down the street from my house. I got together with friends. I tried to live the rest of that summer as a normal teenager. But still, the thought of the quest, of Logan, of everything, invaded the back of my mind.

-Hey Sophia

                                -Hey

-What's new?

                                -Not Much

-Are you in a bad mood or something?

                                -Kinda

-Are you going to Cece's party tonight?

                                -That's tonight?

-Ya! Did you forget? It's gonna be THE PARTY OF THE YEAR

                                -Do i have to?

-Yes. Meet me outside your house in ten mins

                                -Ugh FIne

I put down my phone and looked at myself in the mirror. I'd already been planning on going to my friend Cece's party, but Liv gave me the extra push I needed to get there. I was wearing a blue bikini with a tank top and shorts over top. It was close to 90 degrees outside, and it was a pool party, so I thought it seemed appropriate.

It had been two weeks since I'd had the first dream, and I'd had them every night since. I'd pieced together that they had flown to Greece, and were after Gaea. There wasn't much I was missing, and it looked like they were going on just fine without me.

If I was being honest, I would say that I was utterly jealous. I couldn't admit that to myself, but it was true. I wanted desperately to be out there, unlike the first few days where I'd completely dismissed it.

I needed to get my mind off reality, and what better way than going to a mortal pool party? While all the other girls were excited about seeing all the hot guys in our grade shirtless, I was excited to have some sort of distraction from everything half-blood-ish.

Liv showed up at my door 15 minutes after she said she would, late as usual.

"Hey Mrs. J! Is Sophia ready?"

"I think she is!" I walked out the door, giving my mom a quick hug before leaving. "Have fun girls!"

We rode our bikes to Cece's house, and by the time we got there, the party was in full swing. Music playing, people dancing, girls laughing, guys diving into Cece's 15 foot deep end.
