"Nice knife," I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around and saw Logan standing there. In his hand was a bronze sword. The light reflected off of it so perfectly that it made him look like a god.

"Thanks. Nice sword," Conversation between us had been minimal since our first meeting two days ago. It was mostly like this one; a couple of words, not much depth or meaning. Sometimes, Logan tried to start up an in-depth coversation, but I cut it short. I wondered if he had feelings for me other than what came to the surface. I still didn't know if I did or not.

"Thanks. What's the name of your dagger?" Perfect example of him trying to go into depth.

"Thygatera." I looked down at the blade. On the side was engraved the Greek word for daughter, thygatera. θυγατερα is what it said.

Logan looked at me expectantly.

"So, uh, I guess I should get going... See you around, Sophia." He waved, and ran off towards where the sun hung in the sky. I felt a pang of guilt. I felt a hand wrenching my heart, and I felt the need to follow him. But I didn't. I got up and turned to go, but someone blocked my way.

"You should've gone after him," The girl said. She sat on a rock, sharpening her sword. Her straight black hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her eyes flickered, looking me over. I looked closely at them, and realized that one was the purest of blue, while the other was as black as night.

"Who- who are you?" This unknown girl scared me. She seemed powerful, more powerful than I felt.

"I'm Dakota Draper, daughter of Hades." She stuck her hand out my way, and I shook it warily. Why were there so many Big Three kids?

" I know, right?" Dakota read my mind, and black smoke whirled around her.

"How are you doing that?" I tried to back away, but Dakota's power pulled me back.

"What, reading your mind? It's quite simple, really. Let's just say, it's a little gift from my dad." Okay, this girl was seriously creeping me out. The black smoke whirled around, like waves in the ocean. I turned to run, using every ounce of power I had. But it was no use. We were too far for anyone to help me, but I tried screaming anyway. My mind went blank, and I felt awfully dizzy. I felt someone's warm breath on my face, and then I felt I felt raindrops. Slowly, I allowed my eyes to open into a squint. Lots of people loomed over me. And the rain I felt hadn't been rain, but tears. Dakota's tears.

Chiron stood nearby. Logan was there, and some other familiar faces. Dakota was right next to me, crying. No one seemed to notice I was awake, because they were all talking about me.

"I- I really-didn't mean-to," Dakota sobbed. Chiron placed a hand on her head.

"It's alright, Dakota. It wasn't your fault."

"I could've killed her! I don't care whether or not it was my fault, she'll think it was me!" More tears streamed down my face.

"I think she's awake, Chiron." Logan stood there awkwardly, seeming to be out of place. I completely opened my eyes, then sat up.

"Wha-" I couldn't even finish before Dakota cut in, apologizing and explaining.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't- It wasn't- I-"

"She was possessed, Sophia." Chiron explained. My eyes widened, and Dakota's tears slowed.

"By who?" Now I was fully awake. The moon was bright on the grass.

"An eidolon." Dakota looked at the ground. I looked at Chiron.

"Wasn't my dad possessed by one of those? Back on the Argo II?" Chiron nodded, clearly impressed with my knowledge.
