In a Clan there are different types of Vampire, who carry out jobs suited to their abilities and magical strength. Excluding the All Leaders rights, A Clan Leader dictates his/ hers Clan; Its movements, members, justice, and war. There is usually only one Clan in a country as wars have been known to break out- resulting in either the obliteration or merging of the weaker Clan. This is not the case in large countries, however. Russia has 3 Clans in current habitation, China three, India two and the United States four (This information is magically changed to remain factual)
Within the Clan, jobs are dictated largely by magical strength. Warriors are a good example of this; despite all Vampires being amazingly powerful, and all able to fight, only the strongest become warriors for their Clan. This is largely because, if a war breaks out between either two Vampire Clans or another equally extensively powerful Creature race, for example: Daemons, Berserkers, White Dragons; a branch of the Dragon species that are, contrary to normal Wizarding belief, beasts, highly intelligent and strong - and the like.
A portion of the most skilled warriors in a Clan, are charged with guarding their Clan Leader in the event of war or in case of assassination or unexpected hostilities. It is said that when the All Leaders, Doriam and Hall, were alive, the most skilled warrior from every Clan across the world was sent to become their personal guard. Famous Warriors ,even among muggles, such as Beowulf, Hercules and Perseus, were among the lot (Although they had lived for many years before they went into service, only due to their fighting prowess did they live so long)
A Vampire who is not a Warrior is usually charged with a role as a merchant. Though this may not seem as important, the job is most certainly respected as it gains income over the many years a Vampire Clan is in habitation. Vampire merchants have had a role in trade and industry for many years, from the rise and also the decline of the slave trade to the muggle Wall Street Crash, where it is said that the Clan Leader at the time in New York was so angry at the muggles that she cancelled all trade to the muggles.
There are, unfortunately a few Vampire who do not follow any Leader and disobey the rules. These Vampire are called the Outcasts, because they were, at some point, cast out of their Clan. This could have been for any number of reasons, some being: treason, murder of another Vampire, Excessive killing of prey, threatening the Clan's safety and the muggle world's ignorance of magic and magical creatures. Most of these Vampires die soon (for a Vampire) after being cast out. Some go mad and are put down by either a strong team of Wizards or by a fellow Vampire. If a Vampire becomes a threat to secrecy then their old Clan usually incarcerates their kin as punishment instead of executing the law breaker - Vampire tradition is very clear on the fact that every one of their species is precious and to murder without undue reason is tantamount to destroying your own soul instead.
